Has anyone else gone through the episode? I feel like discussion is kinda dead.

Just finished it. I'm amazed that I went through the whole episode without once feeling like strangling Mika.

The new inspectors are fun. While mental out feels a bit supernatural its grounded in enough reality that I'm not too bothered by it. Arata is childish and cute and I want to bite his cheeks. I really do wonder about their connection with Akane.

Speaking of Akane, her current position is unsurprising but I'm still mad at Ginoza for letting it happen.

Not much to say on the mystery but it felt engaging enough and the animation is gorgeous

He may not have had any choice in that, mind. Sibyl does what it wants.

I'm sure he didn't but my irrationality wins out

Haven’t watched it. Will wait probably after I can get to watch the movies.

I’m not surprised about immigration considering Japan is enacting immigration reforms due to the birth rate.

Episode 2 so Kogami, Suguo and Ginoza work as enforcers for Foreign Affairs. Hinakawa is also in contact with Akane.

I enjoyed the second episode more than the first for some reason. The two new main guys are growing on me and things are definately getting interesting. I wasn't expecting subprime mortgages and the 2008 financial crash to be involved in the case however.

How fitting for Akane's boyfriends to be working as partners again.

Jokes aside, interesting episode. I wonder what the idol's deal is and if that dude was truly stalking her

I’m interested in the idol too. I’m also wondering if frederica has been replaced by sibyl yet. She’s a clear threat.

Would I need to watch the second season for this to make any sense? I know the second season was generally disliked, and I wanted to know if this continues off of that or kinda establishes itself as a branch or something.

Some of the characters are from second season I think but thats it.

Havent seen it yet but surprised Kogami would chose to work under Sibyl again. Considering he wanted to stop it from spreading.

MFA is sort of independent now though. I would absolutely watch the SS trilogy for this season, I need to do that.

Spoiler for episode 3 in the post credit scene we see Yayoi, she's free now and an independent journalist. Akane gets mentioned and one of the enforcers refers to her as the killer ex-inspector. Also I wouldn't be surprised if Kei ends up following Ginoza and Kougami footsteps and turns into an enforcer.

Wow, I thought it being impossible for it to go down was the whole reason they become enforcers, this is pretty big!

To be fair I'm the one calling her free, so it's an assumption on my part. It could be the entire freelance journalist thing is a cover for something else.

Even though it was definitely a bad choice and he was obviously acting up from his earlier resentment, I'm glad Kei punched Tenma's asshole half brother.

Also this season is REALLY giving the enforcers time to breath, its actually rather great and I'll be so sad when one of them probably dies by the end. I love Kei and Arata a lot as well, I was worried about Akane's absence since she's my fave but these two are just everything I love in characters. Also they're hot.

I'd imagine Sibyl would cut a significant amount of slack for anyone operating outside of the borders like Fredrika. Otherwise, MOFA wouldn't be much use.

Less racism this episode and more conspiracy intrigue. I'm really curious on who this inspector whose death lead to Akane being detained is and bifrost is turning out to be more interesting than I thought. I'm also curious about what exactly Akane did to win over Irie and his relationship with Mika that makes him grateful to her.

Karina and Arata had a surprising amount of chemistry in the end, I almost expected her to kiss his cheek. Also Yayoi really did recover, hot damn! That's amazing, I guess that means its possible at least.

Watched the Inspector movies.

Will not spoil anything but this: Homura, a Congressman and essentially a terrorist, managed to make a deal so sweet for Sibyl they not only hire him, give Akane some freedom, don't take Arata's brain out, they also give him a job and insta-promotion over Mika. Who I will add has been seeking a Promotion for awhile, and not only does he outdo her, she's stuck with someone younger as her boss.

Oh, good to hear that the movies actually continue the story and aren't just compilation retellings. I was originally left dumbfounded at how much of a non-ending season three had outside of Kei's arc.

They mentioned it wasnt a compilation after announcing them.

Next season will likely have Akane return to main protagonist spotlight too. Probably sharing it with Arata.
