Same here, though after how things ended last season it was bound to happen. Why couldn't you guys just let Anatoly be your Token Evil Teammate?

Tommy was brought back solely for Oliver's malecompanionpain. Apparently being part of a Hitler Youth group results in Tommy Merlyn becoming Prometheus? (and, apparently, Malcolm isn't evil?)

Seriously, why bring back Tommy at all when he's just there to f'ck with Oliver? Why not use Merlyn? Evil Nazi Merlyn makes sense, does it not? We get evil Nazi Lance and evil Nazi Oliver, but no evil Nazi Merlyn?

And if the Nazis are capable of training ninja-Robin Hood commandos on Earth-X, why is Tommy the only one we see? If you can train one evil Nazi ninja - why would you not train more? The stormtroopers are grossly ineffective. Were they too busy building an evil time ship and oppressing/terrorizing mankind-

Seriously though, Barrowman is busy shooting some other show (the name must have slipped me). That is the reason he left after all.

Anyway, good episode, if slightly depressing.

Above all, I hope Curtis comes back. He has been my favorite of the new recruits from the very beginning.

It will require Oliver to get over his own trust issues due to Rene going behind his back, and also for the other three to decide to trust him again.

And since they plan on forming their own team, that might be difficult.

Plus, I'm sure Caden James will be doing everything in his power to fuck with both sides. I'm still not even clear what his issues with Ollie really are.

Well, with all the darkness the mid-season finale had, it looks like coming up there will be a single 'Roy' of sunshine. Roy Harper, that is.

Also, part of why Tommy's return was so brief was probably cause that's really all they had time for. Its been clear that Amell, the producers, and others have wanted Colin Donnell back in some capacity almost as soon as he left, but that sort of scheduling is hard (which is why he wasn't in the 100th episode), so on this occasion, he had exactly enough time to go from his other job, get on a plane, fly to Vancouver, film the scene, get on another plane, and fly back to his day job.

As is the schedule for the crossover involving people who normally work on the shows looked liked an absolute beast.

To change the subject, what are your opinions on Oliver's tenure as Mayor?

I mean, in my honest opinion, I'm no fan of him as Mayor. But that's what happens when no serious candidates run for mayor. The guy seems unqualified, but he has name recognition, and rugged good looks that can get him through any door, and into any room in the city. It's disgusting, really. There are rumors that he might or might not be this vigilante who calls himself the Green Arrow. Like this frat bro dude could think of anyone but himself. I'd be more worried about the fact that apparently he has a kid now. And he just got married in the middle of an FBI investigation. Fucking ridiculous.

At least he is a much better public servant than he was a businessman. Sure, he owned a nightclub, but his kid sister managed it. Y'know, the same sister that crashed her car while she was high as a kite. I believe he also left some chick that his dad used to bang in charge of his company that one time, and lost his fortune. I don't know how you magically expect him to get rich again when he squandered the wealth that was given to him.

Again, I wish there were better candidates, but this is as good as it gets for Star City. There was an assistant district attorney that would have made a great mayor, but she died in the hospital under mysterious circumstances. She was a very local girl. She liked to give back to the community whenever she could. I hear whispers saying Mayor Queen was the last to see her alive. And there was also a district attorney by the name of Adrian Chase who was VERY chummy with Mayor Queen. I think he was born to be a Mayor. I was excited to see what he could have brought to the table. He looked like one of those guys who planned things out 8, 9, maybe 10 steps ahead of everyone else. Last I heard the cops were looking for him for some reason, but he has since gone missing. I suspect foul play. There may be more to this FBI investigation than meets the eye.

I know you're going to accuse me of peddling some conspiracy theory about "Oliver Queen body bags," but if you say that, you're wrong. His family was a part of the Star City elite. I even heard his dad kept a list of people not to trust. That's some Illuminati type shit! His kid is now the freakin mayor! And it's also strange how the city is always in extreme danger right before the summer, the start of tourist season. That hurts tourism hard, meaning no one wants to invest, and makes properties cheaper. Lets not forget Oliver Queen and his developer cronies were at one point trying to gentrify the Glades. I don't need to tell you how that ended. He keeps leaving a path of destruction and a trail of dead bodies. The evidence is stacked against him. I don't even know what the end game is here. Does he just want to watch the world burn?

I had a huge backlog of shows that I haven't quite caught up on, so I only just finished episode 6 and saw the preview for 7, but there's been something that's been bugging me about the FBI investigation plot this season: The Green Arrow's team shouldn't be illegal. That's not an opinion on vigilantism, it's just the realities of the 'verse. The team helped fight off an alien invasion, saved the life of the current president, and have a direct line to ARGUS. Lyla could have this FBI agent killed on a whim if she felt like it; she can't put Team Arrow on the payroll as official agents? Oliver has been an unofficial agent for years, before he even became the Hood. For crying out loud, they built a prison for his use. This subplot should end with the agent getting a call and being told by someone much higher in the command chain to leave the whole thing alone.

Because Drama that's why!

So I think the way the team is gonna come back together is for Oliver to disband Team Arrow and become a part of Dinah, Curtis and Rene's team.

Kinda like how when Angel did the same thing, opting to regain his old teams trust by joining them and letting Wesley be his boss rather than the other way around.
