Probably also the closest we're going to get to a Mirror's Edge Hollywood movie...
I liked it. My favorite bit was how the plot was developed. More than one person got character development. I particularly liked the bad guys story and how it developed. I began the movie thinking he was just some nameless thug mook like in every other movie you see, but Premium Rush actually put time and thought into his character. This was done with all of the characters, though not to the same extent, but it made you feel like it was a real world with real living people, not just characters on the screen.
I know that sounds stupid, isn't that what all films are trying to do? Well, they're not really, too often a movie just shows a character, but they don't often show a person.

Yeah. I also liked how they gave Manny some depth. He started out looking like the reasonable authority figure (much more grounded than Wiley) and a worthy rival (using superior technology and technique to counter death-seeking behavior). Later in the movie, we get to see that he's definitely got Dogged Nice Guy tendencies and has no issue with pulling the occasional dirty trick to win his race, something that he accused Wiley of using before.
I agree with you Fuzzy Boots. Definitely the closet we'll get to Mirror's Edge. I fucking loved this film when I saw it in theaters.

Saw this on a whim today and really enjoyed it. Very cool.
For those who don't know, it's about a New York bike courier (which is a real profession, BTW) played by Joseph Gordon Levitt and his very...eventful afternoon. Let's just say it made me wish I knew how to ride a bike.
