Well, a lot of fans of the Slenderman only follow a few blogs/series here and there, so it usually doesn't feel like they're getting flooded. Or at least, that's how I experience the Slenderman fandom.
Speaking of the Slenderman, I sort of feel like a hipster now, because while I'm glad the Slenderman is mainstream now, it kind of bothers me that most people know him from Slender rather than just being a part of the fandom.
‽‽‽‽ ^These are interrobangs. Love them. Learn them. Use them.I only followed a few series, thats it. I think Slender looks awesome, and gives a fresh experience from the mythos; but unfortunately , my laptop doesn't have sound. Its just to me, being too iconic can make a movie monster lose their scariness.
Some of those blogs with pages on here sound really unappealing to me because they've built a franchise continuity and made Slendy into a global threat villain.
It is making Slenderman less scary since hes more scary as "Scary photo edit plus creepy pasta text"
I love Marble hornets, but it got too damn influential. Now there's a million vlogs.
Not if you ignore most of them.
Mura: -flips the bird to veterinary science with one hand and Euclidean geometry with the other-Or, indeed, all of them. You’d be surprised how easy it is.
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883!
I know coming up with you own interpretation of Slender Man is part of the appeal, but all the freaking blogs and video series is getting ridiculous. It feels half as bad as horror movie series that keep bringing back the villain. It feels Slender Man is getting too iconic for his own good. I still love him, but I feel the overdose of Slendy stories is actually making him lose some of his appeal.
