I'm surprised that no one posted this game yet. It came out a week ago on Xbox Live and it is a pretty soild game and worth the $15 bucks. An interestingly enough this was all done by one man.

[up] I wanted a thread specifically for this title and to hopefully get more responses, particularly from people that bought the game or are planning to.

I saw this back when the first gameplay videos came out and it looks good for an indie effort. Any news about the other media that's supposed to accompany it?

Sure looks nice. Gameplay wise anyway. And the animation's some of the best I've seen for an indie game. But the art style looks kinda amateurish...I think it's the eyes.

The only reason I haven't bought a copy already, is that I'm in the middle of playing LA Noire, *and* Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne, *and* just got my preorder copy of The Last Story. I'm definitely getting it eventually, though.

It's based on a manga and anime, by the way.

He's part of the Furry Fandom, right? That, plus the art's resemblance to the typical amateur furry art may be the reasons why I find the art to be a bit off in terms of character design.

Unfortunately, there are others that condemn the game due to its furry heritage and all that...not that I'm one of them or anything...

I've been playing through it. I must say, it feels like a 2D Devil May Cry, which is awesome. smile

Should Crowning Music Of Awesome be added to the entry? I think the soundtrack is epic, do you?

I'll get it to see if the furry-esque artstyle is enough to impact my enjoyment with the rest of the game. It probably won't, being that I've tolerated worse artstyles in games before, but still.

Normally I'd comment on that furry hate is beating dead horse, but Generic Furry Art(TM) IS an annoying form of stuff tongue Kind of like how Sonic palette swaps give everyone dead brains.

Yeah, I'm not too enamored with the cutscene art. But I think the in-game graphics are quite good.

Steam version YAY! I've been interested in this game when I found out who was making it (I know him from when he did the art for Jazz Jackrabbit 2 way back in the way back), but lacking an Xbox, haven't gotten to play it yet.

Somehow you know that the time is right.

Also, I just wish there was a DRM free version of the game in a place like GOG or something. You know, for those that believe even Steam's a bit of a hassle and just doesn't want to deal with ANY DRM whatsoever, no matter how lenient.
