Ok, so here's my problem.

Recently we got some new telephone plugs put in to cut down on the amount of wires that are dragging around the hall. We also got a new cordless house phone.

As it is, my modem is connected into a new plug situated directly behind the old one in the hall. There is also a new phone plug a few feet down the hall, into which the phone charger is plugged. Everything of course hooks up to the same home telephone network.

However, since then there's been issues with my internet connectivity. Basically, whenever someone uses the cordless phone we're losing internet access.

Whenever the phone is answered or hung up, I lose connection for about a minute. However, making calls/hanging up too often in a short space of time will cause me to lose connection for much longer - anywhere between an hour to EIGHTEEN hours one time.

Any efforts I try to reconnect make absolutely no difference whatsoever. Obviously, this is a pain in the ass and needs sorted. Personally, I'm putting the blame onto the cordless phone and I'm pushing to get it replaced with a cord phone.

Would that solve my problem? And could someone with more technical knowledge than me help me understand just what is going on here?

And let us pray that come it may (As come it will for a' that)
