Awww that's sorta the fun of it tho, making mistakes and then learning from them. Critical part of the process. I felt so stupid the time I walked through a mirror at the carnival and died, haha. I really should've known better.
What do you need the inculacum whatsit for? What level are you?
ophelia, you're breaking my heartI most certainly agree! I have found all my failures thus far most delightfully enjoyable! I need the incunabulum for an ambition thingymawhatsit. I have fifty-three watchful, fifty shadowy and fifty-one dangerous and persuasive.
Honestly, my whole mindset from the get-go was to hoard almost all of the shit thrown my way, because I was pretty positive that I'd get to a point where I'd be spending all those resources in large quantities (which I was mostly correct on, especially after I got 100 on all my skills).
I think you can upconvert from visions of the surface. http://fallenlondon.wikia.com/wiki/Speak_with_bohemians_about_lost_loves_and_the_Surface
I'm on tablet so everything typing sucks but if you follow the links you can check out the other sources on the item page.
And pretty much, revolver. Except for stuff like rostygold and glim.

ophelia, you're breaking my heartThat is good news, I have a couple of those! Thank you very much for telling me this!
You sure? Because it feels like rosty and glim are what I spend left and right—got close to running out of the latter once or twice already.
Massive tease of Carnelian Coast content in FL...I really need to get myself banished from the court so I can start doing that when it hits.
Give me cute or give me...something?Aaaaand it's out! Ok, banishment time!
Give me cute or give me...something?So I accidentally got rid of my Correspondence Stones. Is there any way I can get new ones?
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertHow on earth did you manage that?
There's an option to give them away after you get them, which I selected accidentally.
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertI finally managed to obtain those but I cannot work out how to use them to get into the university. Are you able to collect them again from the tomb of seven?

I think you need your Watchful at a certain level. As far as I know, there's no way back into the Tomb.
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertThank you for telling me! I would have just continued using all my actions to investigate the stones had I not known!
Oh I see, I am sorry for suggesting that then! I think I have found a way you can get them back though, it seems there is an opportunity card drawn in the university when you have at least ninety watchful which can return them to you.

Oh, cool, thanks. Gonna need to grind some Watchful, now.
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertI truly hope that it works out for you! ^_^
I have started playing Fallen London. I am greatly enjoying it.
In an anime, I'll be the Tsundere Dark Magical Girl who likes purple MY own profile is actually HERE!Just discovered the series and I'm rather curious.
It looks wonderfully quirky and interesting. But, I'm concerned as to... for lack of a better word, how accessible it would be? Like, I don't mind really dense lore and etc for RP Gs; in fact, I prefer dense lore over sparse stuff. But, I keep thinking that I'll be absolutely lost trying to start.
I've also been looking into Sunless Sea and that looks pretty cool too.
It's not hard to start out. I think it might be the best for you to just try, it's F 2 P after all...if you don't think you can continue, you can just stop easily.

Give me cute or give me...something?While the lore is fairly dense, the early parts of the game are pretty straightforward and don't need any previous knowledge to enjoy, and the later parts do a great job of explaining the deeper elements. Not every part of the lore is stated explicitly in-game though, especially since stories are still being added, so to completely understand everything I've had to look at resources in the community. (Especially for things like Seeking Mr. Eaten's Name which are not currently available.)
Sunless Sea can be played and enjoyed without any knowledge of the FL lore, and much of the locations and characters are never referred to in FL itself. However there are of course details more fully explained in FL, and inversely Sunless Sea explains and explores in more depth various things that are never focused upon in FL.
Really getting into Sunless Sea. Ah, Magician, you have stolen my heart. And poor Phoebe. Its interesting how quickly some plots move on the first go and then how slower they are to develop by the second.
However, I apparently really don't understand combat. I miss constantly and, sometimes, I am unable to fire even though the enemy is right in front of me? I'm very confused.
The Green or orange light around the fire button fills when the enemy is in the red area. When it's half full, you can fire. When it's full, You are guaranteed to hit. Fill it faster by keeping the enemy in the prow light.
Ok. Why do I sometimes get a 0 on the button even if the enemy is in my range of fire? The bar won't fill and I can't click it but I'm sometimes losing health quickly because they're still attacking me. : /
Never had that happen to me, so i dunno. Might be something to do with ship parts i don't have, but who knows.
I imagine that is the wisest way to go about it, if I had not sold all my tales of terror I would already have the innculambum I require. I made what appears to be a colossal mistake, trying to keep a clean inventory.
