I don't imagine the game makes for great moment-to-moment viewing either, since the payoffs take fairly long to get to and are not satisfying unless you "get" the rhythm of it.

It’s Nintendo’s take at a console RTS. It’s pretty good but I am surprised that he likes the game considering how bad they are at video games even remotely like it.
