Finished watching the third episode and remembered this doesn't have a thread.

Why the heck not? Accusations of being an overused idea aside, it's a well-written show.

Not much to comment on the third episode.

The animation is still gorgeous though.

Wait a minute... there's an anime based on Nobunaga's Ambition?

.... Is it fansubbed?

Somewhat.

There's a lot of Genber-bending, but the game is referenced constantly.

Definitely the dark horse of this year.

Took a tired concept and outclassed all that had done it prior.

The developments are quite nice now.

I'm sure that they intended the OP to be a bit similar to Sengoku Basara's OP. LOL

With much less soldiers flying high in the sky, and no dancing soldiers. lol

I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.

@Dantes: It's based on the same time period as the game, and the main character has apparently played it. A lot.

It's both fansubbed and on Crunchyroll.

New episode, and now the manga's been picked up for scanlation. smile

Something about the whole concubine threat just felt wrong. Not least of which because it would have involved a grown man raping a loli.

That was kind of the point.

It was to show what an awful person the guy was.

Yeah I think it was to highlight how much of a slime the man was so we don't feel bad when he finally gets killed.

In other news Yoshiharu's harem has grown by one.

[up] That was indeed great.

So Yoshiharu gets an underling who's both a brilliant strategist and a powerful spellcaster? That's kinda overpowered. I guess he needs to make up for his weakness of having no combat capability.

New episode.

How did I know that Goemon and Yoshitatsu weren't actually gonna die? Oh yeah, 'cause nobody dies in this show. Now I'm curious as to how Yoshiharu intends to avoid Nobuna's impending assassination.

Speaking of which, I feel as if I noticed this way too slowly, but the manga helped me realize how Nobuna came up with "Saru" (Monkey) for Yoshiharu. Sagara Yoshiharu. Ugh. It burns.

[up]not true. Toukichiro (aka Hideyoshi) died. Plot mandated death ofc, but still.

On the flip side, it seems like we'll be seeing Date Masamune next episode. Man I hope this goes for more then 1 season. it really is turning out to be a gem.

Episode 6: I really am unable to comment anything of substance about this show given my lack of Sengoku era knowledge, but suffice to say that this was a good episode. Decent fights, some displays of tactics, and general cool-ness, really.

New episode.

Why didn't I expect it to be Nene? She is Hideyoshi's wife in history, after all.

And... Yoshiharu's right, what use is he now?

[up] Moral support for Nobuna, mostly. I'd say meat shield but Goemon is a great bodyguard.

With this episode, I feel the story only pushing further toward the Incident at Honnou-ji . I guess they really do intend to reach that point.
