Rogue, Hellfire Club Entrance

"Right... Thank you for your time," Rogue nodded to the Bouncer and grabbed Access' hand and left the scene by going around the corner.

"Well, that didn't work," Rogue said to Access, before trying to use Rocket's communication device. "Hey, Rocket's turtle assistant... How's Rocket doing?"

Mary Marvel––Convenience Store.

Even with the wisdom of Solomon, her innocence made her realize the obvious too late. The robber wasn’t afraid of them. He was afraid of him.

“I will never understand why people do this,” she sighed. Mary approached the robber. " True evil can't be seen from the outside, I should know." Memories on how charming the headmistress of the orphanage seemed at first. On how she was able to hide her true self for so long. "Sometimes a puppy just shows his teeth because he's a afraid.––you’ll see." She walked to the mutant hero to prove her point.

“I’m Mary, Mary Marvel, nice to meet you,” she offered her hand to Nightcrawler with a smile

Convenience Store

Kate followed Mary out of the store, her bow still ready to fire at any moment.

After the World's Mightiest Maiden offered her hand to Nightcrawler, Kate slid her arrow into her quiver and approached the mutant as well. "Thanks for taking care of this guy. I'm Hawkeye."

"Oh, hey," Spider-Man said as he hopped off the wall and held a hand out for the blue kid to shake, "Most people don't recognize me in the new digs.◊ So what do we call you? I'm pretty sure there's already a Blue Devil."

Kurt shook Mary Marvel's hand with his own three fingered one, smiling. "Kurt Wagner, the Incredible Nightcrawler." He said. "Are you a mutant?",

Mary Marvel––Convenience Store.

As soon as Kurt replied with kindness she glanced at the bulglar as if saying with her eyes “told you so”

“I agree, you did a great job,” Mary nodded in agreement to the master archer after Hawkeye had spoken. “Don’t mind him, people can get scared when they do bad things.” She scratched her back of her head.

Then to reply to his question she said “I wish! That way I could live in X–mansion with my friend Squirrel Girl. I got my powers from a wizard…” But before she could elaborate she asked him “What about you?”

Kurt nodded. "What gave me away? The fur? The tail? My devilishly good looks?" He joked, smirking. It had been so long since he felt safe to crack a joke, that he was loving every second of it now. "It was nothing, Arrow Girl," he told Hawkeye. "I just wanted to make sure no one was hurt." He turned to Spider Man. "I only know of one superhero with web powers."

"Hel-loooooo........" Rocket whispered, after hearing the bit about Osborn, deciding to follow up on that. "Pyko, show me which exit is the back room here," the bounty hunter requested.

"Rocket's already inside one of the ballrooms and just requested a possible entrance to a room Osborn went into," Pyko answered.

As it turned out, the back room was behind the door at the top of the palace-esque steps, with the bouncer to the side.

"No doubt they're finally reconsidering his little promotion. If you ask me, that stuffy little upstart should never have been allowed near the Inner Circle."

"Oh, I don't know. He seemed to fit the cold, dark and calculating type rather well."

"I'm sorry, are you actually a sixteen year old?"

"Oh, hush, a girl can dream."

"'Girl' indeed. Romilly, talking in monotone and lacking a sense of humour do not 'cold and dark' make, and 'calculating'? Please, that debacle with SHIELD was a gaffe of monumental proportions, and his stocks have been in free fall ever since. All that's left is for the Circle to baste him, fry him up, and serve him on Luthor's plate."

After a bruising introduction to the Danger Room, Paige had decided that Did the cafeteria have decent hot sauce? was an important question, and one that would help determine whether she would succeed or fail at the school. She was just on the way to the cafeteria to investigate matters when a loud burst of sound nearly knocked her down. Glancing out the window, she saw her brother Sam "cannonballing" past, a very serious look on his face.

Clearly something was going on. Paige took off down the hall, emerging into a small courtyard where she saw the group she'd met earlier gathered around a bench. As more students drifted over, Paige darted between the other mutants until she was at her brother's side. The Asian girl named...Karma?.....was showing him something on her phone's screen. Her eyes were wet, but she also looked very angry, and Paige had the sense that getting the other young woman unhappy was a bad idea. She laid a hand on his shoulder and tugged urgently. "Sam? What's going on?"

Alley near Hellfire Club mansion

Access made sure they were out of sight of the men at the mansion's entrance before he turned around to look at Rogue and then said, "Well, that plan didn't go anywhere" -not that he had really expected it to- "What now? Do we wait for Rocket to report or-"

But he was interrupted by that strange sensation again.

"Huh, there's a teleporter nearby" he informed his teammate. "Could be the same one I fought during the Brotherhood's attack. I want to go investigate it- is that OK?"

Rogue, Outside the Hellfire Club

"Yeah, there's nothing we can do here and Rocket's sidekick will tell us if he's in trouble," Rogue nodded to Access. "But I'd like to come with."

Sam was a little startled by his sister's appearance. "...uh, s-sorry sis. Karma needs my help with somethin'. New Mutant business, I gott-"

"It's my friend," Karma interrupted, wiping her eyes with her sleeves. "A friend of mine, over in 'Little Saigon'. She's just told me her dad's been missing for a while now. Police are no help, so she's begging me to come by and help her."

"I gotta help her out with this, lil' sis. Sorry to put a damper on y'r first day, but we need'a move if we wanna get there in good time."

The middle aged man behind the counter set down a phone, and deemed it safe to come out from his hiding spot behind the counter. "Thank you! Superheroes, Marvel lady, human spider, thank you for the help that you have." He said in a thick accent and lightly damaged english. "How I'm...would be possible to...refund all of you?" Wisdom of Solomon might indicate that he was asking how he could repay them.

Access and Rogue

Come along? That took Access a bit by surprise. Sure, they were teammates, it was only natural she'd offer to help. Was it because he always felt like nobody ever gave him a second thought?

Or was it the fact that she was so damn pretty? No! Nonono no. He had enough girl trouble already. And this one was spoken for to booth. He could imagine Blue Beetle getting mad at him!

Unfortunately, there was no way he could think of to tell her no.

"O-okay" he mumbled. "You, uhh, know the first few times kind of make you dizzy, right? Anyway steel yourself."

Then he concentrated, trying to focus on where that 'port signal had last come from. A bit more concentration and-

-POP!

Both dissapeared from the alley and

-POP!

Appeared in the robbed store right in the middle of the assembled heroes.

"Whoa, is there a party going on here or" he tried to joke-

and then he saw Nightcrawler.

"-AAAHH!!"

Paige turned to Karma, her hand covering her mouth. "That's terrible! I'm so sorry. I'm sure he's fine, and you'll see him again in no time." She reached out and squeezed Karma's shoulder consolingly.

Then she confronted her brother. "Don't even think about leaving me behind! I'm a mutant, and I'm the newest one here, so I'm gonna help any way I can. Besides, who else is gonna keep you in line, you big blockhead?" She was trying to sound casual, but inside Paige was kind of nervous. What might happen in New York City? Could she really be a help, especially since she was still pretty new at this? What if she got on TV and someone from back home saw her using her powers? With an effort, she dismissed the buzzing worries and tried to put confidence into her voice. "Ok, what's the plan? Where do we start, Cannonball?"

Convenience Store

Nightcrawler smiled at the old man. "Es ist nichts! Simply helping out is enough for me," he told the man, before someone else randomly teleported next to him. Well, two people really. A boy and a girl. He gasped in shock, backing up, and winced his ears when one of the pair screamed upon seeing him.

Convenience Store

"Oh my God, Access, shut up." Spider-Man groaned. A bit harsher of a response than he'd intended but for some reason he got aggravated much more easily in this suit. "And keep your money," he told the shopkeep, "I don't need it."

Mary Marvel—Store—New old faces

"It's alright," told the store clerk. " Just seeing you happy is paying enough for me." She told him. Hopefully Solomon would be proud.

Soon the arrival of the new-old heroes caught her attention.

"Rogue, Mister Acess. Long time no see," she smiled and waved to them as soon as she could see them.

Rogue, Convenience Store

Rogue had to recover her bearings after being teleported by Access, but in that time, Access started screaming right into her ear.

"Stop that!" Rogue gently elbowed Access in the gut when she looked at what he was looking at and noticed that he was screaming at Nightcrawler. Once Access stopped screaming, Rogue looked at Nightcrawler. "Sorry about that."

"I'm gonna guess... mutant?" Rogue asked the Incredible Nightcrawler. "The blue fur says mutant."

Rogue knew many mutants who had blue skin or fur, not including her adoptive mother and brother. Her encounters with the Morlocks had told her that mutants come in all sorts of forms so a devilish looking one makes some bit of sense.

Kate instinctively readied an arrow at the newcomers, but lowered it when she recognized Rogue and Access.

"Rogue! Is Power Girl recovering all right?"

Rogue, Convenience Store

"Oh, she's completely healed now, Hawkeye!" Rogue gave the purple archer a thumbs up. "She'll be back to superheroing once she learns about her... heritage, as it were."

"Great to see you all again, though!" Rogue happily said to Hawkeye, Mary Marvel and Spider-Man, and then looks at the Convenience Store. "Looks like we were too late to help though."

Access, thoroughly confused, blinked.

First there was the demon. He certainly wasn't expecting to run into something like THAT!

But then Spider-Man -if it was Spider-Man, he was wearing a black costume- snapped at him for some reason.

Then Rogue elbowed him and told him to be quiet. *oof* She then began to talk with the "demon" and ask if he was a mutant. Yeah, that probably made sense. Still, it wasn't as if he had overreacted or anything, come on the guy was only missing the bat wings and horns!

He decided to let the others talk for now. Still, he felt like, once again, he'd screwed up and nobody took his side.

Hawkeye, Convenience Store

"I'm sure the one robber would have gone down even faster if Access had been there to shriek at him," Kate quipped. "But on the bright side, you can still help us take down Godfrey."

Convenience Store

Nightcrawler smirked. "First try and you got me!" He held his three fingered hand out to the girl who had asked the question. "Kurt Wagner, the Incredible Nightcrawler. And you are, fraulein?"

So Osborn was actually up for membership into the Inner Circle and the recent trouble with SHIELD seriously hurt his chances, Rocket pondered. Though the mention of Lex, would that mean Luthor's one of the Inner Circle.....?

"Rocket, Rogue and Access left to deal with something else," Pyko informed.

Blast it. "The door to the back room's guarded by mooks. Think you can provide a distraction for me?"

"Will do!"
