(and Lucifer, the mutant not the angel, if you want to go that way.)

He can still be the son of Mystique (and maybe Lucifer.)

Papa Lucifer

Lucifer

Funny thing, I can't find anything on a mutant called Lucifer. I can find a whole lot on this dude though. Anyway, I'll consider maybe having Magik drop by from space, seeing as our canon version was introduced in Starry Night, and then we'll see if the two hit it off. I'll see what else I can give our blue guy in the meantime, but no sense in railroading his story down direct paths just to make it closer to the comics.

Whoops, yeah, I meant Azazel. I got confused because there *is* a character named Lucifer in the X-Men mythos- but he isn't a mutant, he was an alien villain, and he (not Magneto) is to blame for Xavier being crippled (the first time anyway.)

Also the Magik I mean isn't Colossus sister, but the second one, Margali's daughter. Btw Nightcrawler might have met both of them at the circus where he worked, since they own it. Even if she didn't raise him, he might see her as a close friend.

Mother causes more drama and as a member of the X-Men Nightcrawler's life is required to be as much like a soap opera as possible.

Yeah, I can see this working.

I do want to explore Nightcrawler's dad being more than what we got in the comics, and the whole rivalry that is meant to exist between Angelic mutants and demonic mutants.

As for Magik.....I kind like Colossus's sister better.

I always personally favored Mystique as Nightcrawler's father and Destiny as his mother, but I might be an outlier.

And Amanda Sefton is technically Nightcrawler's adopted sister, so let that influence you how it may.

Anyone who knows comics better want to give a name/face to Rose's therapist? I'd say Hugo Strange, but if the government sent a minor to Arkham Asylum, this world is incredibly messed up. And Rose would probably be incredibly messed up.

That could work. Thanks.

I'd need permission from Liz tho.

Permission granted. And yeah, I agree, Professor Strange is the last person you want as your therapist. Which reminds me of a whole bunch of ideas I had stemming from his presence at Arkham, which may or may not ever see the light of day. Ah well.

Going back to possible therapists, depending on how violent Thorn has been, there might have been a trip to Ravencroft Institute for the Criminally Insane, which might have resulted in her meeting Doctor Ashley Kafka. You might recognise the name from Amazing Spider-Man 2, wherein it was attached to a completely and utterly unrelated character.

As a Catholic, I kinda have to agree that even a relationship with an adopted sibling is incest. And the thought of Destiny being Nightcrawler's mother with Mystique the father....bit too disturbing for me, that.

I want to have Nightcrawler discover his roots basically, and learn about who he is as a person. While also coming up with new relationships for him.

I never liked the Mystique-is-Nightcrawler's father-not-his-mother theory (even if Claremont himself liked it) because its controversial, smacks of being done for the shock value, and (as I once explained) just doesn't work because it would necessitate changes at the genetic level that would make Mystique more powerful than she is. Unless she was a man all along. Which is possible but do we want to go that way?

OTOH if Amanda and Kurt didn't grow up together, then no problem there.

Not that any of that is up to me of course.

BTW: Are you aware that DC has two separate versions of Rose & The Thorn? The first was a Golden Age Green Lantern villain (and mother of his children) the second is the vigilante one (presumably this one.) Other than having split personalities and a Rose theme, they are unrelated AFAIK, but still, it would be interesting to know if they have any connection in our universe.

Thorn wouldn't have been overtly violent (or at least, not catchably) simply because the security at the asylum was annoying enough, so she wouldn't want to be sent to a place like an institute for the criminally insane (and also because Rose would get eaten alive in that place, and Thorn does care).

I'm might just stick with Dr Samson.

EDIT: I did know that, and my version is based mainly off the New 52 version, but they could be connected. Or they could just have a really interesting confrontation.

Man I have been foreshadowing a lot something.... a little bit in JA universe and a lot in another game.

I am a bit surprised nobody has caught the clues. Liz knows what I am talking about though. Wink wink wink.

Actually I have a couple of theories, I just don't want to mention them in case I'm right and end up spoiling things.

I have a question which may have great potential for shenanigans and future plots. At least, for my character.

Does Yggdrasil exist in this universe, and, if it does, is it actually a tree, and not symbolism?

Haven't really got around to directly addressing Yggdrasil. The precedent set for Norse Mythology is that the old stories are pretty much all true, just with extra-dimensional beings and super-science for magic. That might tilt it more towards metaphor, but as far as I'm concerned, there's no reason it can't be both. Maybe a dimensional gateway directly funnels into a tree in-

Oh. Oh, I see what you're driving at.

Yes. Because there's no way in hell that she'd be able to control the World Tree, but if she could hear it....

Actually I was wondering, is Rose/Thorn connected to the Green in any capacity?

Not in the comics, but she could be (I wasn't actually aware of its existence when I wrote up my character sheet).

The *original* Thorn had Plant Control powers, but not the second. That's why I asked if your version is connected. Of course for our purposes, she might be.

And for the record in Marvel Yggdrasil is very much an actual tree, but its also how the Asgardians refer to the Nine Realms -obviously dimensions- so its likely a magic tree that also works as an interdimensional pathway ala The Rainbow Bridge.

Since this Thorn is a merging of both, she does have the powers of the 'original' with the more Anti-Heroic personality of the redo. So she might be. That's a Liz question.

Also, since Rose can't exactly choose whether or not to listen to them, can she hear Yggdrasil? And how would that register?

And does this rp have a skype chat?

It's not up to me, but my guess would be "no" because each world has its own "Green" and technically speaking Yggdrasil isn't on Earth. Heck The Green is sentient because its made of all plant life, each acting as a "cell" in a "brain". Individual plants are not sentient.

But then, magic interdimensional tree yada yada up to Liz.

I'm just waiting on Shark's Majestic and Superman's reaction. Depending on that I will decided the route I will use for I introducing Supergirl : )

Just a reminder that Freddy Freeman is currently wearing a Kingdom Come Batman-esque exoskeleton to walk and Phyla-Vell has what looks like an oxygen mask on her face with a small tank strapped to her back.
