I guess so. I'm just worried about leaving G_o_A hanging, seeing as Dawin and Megan were about to head off together.

Now, it looks like the main clique are trucking along well on their own for the Hellfire plot, unless there's some way I could progress it that I've failed to notice. I've got a post for Team STRIKE, but it's only like a paragraph long. Perhaps I should start on a story idea for Mary Marvel as well, I dunno, it's late...

That would be very cool Liz. But whenever you want it to happen it's fine.

BTW. Is it too late to join on the current plots?

mmm I'm still lurking a bit to catch up.

I hope I don't come as Mr negative as I'm sure Shark has a lot of stuff in his life (I should know.) But I'm kinda noticing that jump city hasn't gotten too much activity (3 pages since I left).

I just don't want the games to die out :(. @Shark do you need any input from us players to keep the game going?

Well, let's see. The only folks that are really out and about at the moment are Spider-Man and Hawkate. Everyone else is either at a team meeting over in Stark's places, or over at the X-Mansion. You could probably have Mary run into Spidey and Hawkate as she's flying around town. Meanwhile, I'll wrack my brain to try and come up with a way of bridging the X-Mansion Duo and everybody else.

Oh, and I wouldn't worry about the life force of the games. As long as one out of the four is going, there's life in the old franchise yet.

-*Ahem* As I mentioned, the Hellfire Club plot ties into both the X-Men and the Avengers things. Maybe even into the GBS one if we have Godfrey be an Inner Circle member.

In the comics, the HC wanted to rule from behind the scenes, by any ways available; money and corruption were their original tools, but they turned to mutants because they became a major social issue (and besides, most inner circle members were mutants themselves.) The Sentinels were just a government program they took over.

We can have Team Access run into the Innies, get captured, only for the other teams, each following its own leads, to find them.

[up]I'd be up for that plan actually. I've been wanting to get Ivan captured because he went snooping somewhere he really didn't ought to for a long time now.

Silo: Yeah, I get that. I'm thinking more in the short term, though. Husk and X-23 might like some company, and there are only so many ways I can make a tour of the mansion interesting.

I do feel really bad about the lack of activity in Jump City and how slow that game's going. Part of it can be put on players coming and going and disappearing and reappearing, but it's really just that I'm a shitty Gm.

@Shark.

No. You aren't a shitty GM Shark. On the contrary. You're great. You always listened to us and you always made a great experience.

It's just that I like your style so much that I would love to see more of it smile. Your game master post were like a christmas gift. I was (still am) excited when a new one comes.

Here's a nagging thought: I watched a playthrough of the second Episode of Telltales' version of Batman, and I found the revelation that Thomas Wayne was actually part of criminal triumvirate ruling Gotham's underworld along with Falcone and Hill to be rather fascinating. We may be able to incorporate it into the RP, though probably not Thomas and Martha themselves directly, most likely an ancestor further back or something. Because, as it was said in the game, the chances of a family becoming THAT rich without making SOME moral compromises is near astronomical.

UGH NO. I don't like that theory *at all*

After all, if Batman ever found that his FATHER was a major criminal -possibly even causing his death and his wife's because of it- it would totally twist Batman's reason-to-be. Even if he continued, he would never be the same.

[up]Well I did say probably not Thomas himself being the crime boss. I'm suggesting that a previous generation of the Waynes being involved in some sort of amoral criminal activities. For the purpose of the RP, I suggest maybe sometime between a generation after Gotham's founding to Bruce's grandfather would be a good point where the Waynes starting legit. Particularly interesting would be Thomas Wayne telling off his own father that no, he ain't going into family "business" and he is becoming a surgeon to help EVERYONE, not just mafia thugs and other criminals, regardless if they can pay for treatment. Of course, Fate decides to be poetic and Thomas and Martha are killed anyway because Thomas decided to treat some random crook that comes through the front covered in bullet holes who worked for an old friend of Bruce's grandfather.

Of course, this is only a suggestion.

Now that sounds more appropriate. I always did find that Bruce going after *all* criminals instead of just the one who killed his parents was a bit extreme. But this way, he realizes organized crime is the true enemy.

Well, just going after the criminals who killed his parents turns the story of Batman from a story about justice into a story about revenge. At its core, Batman is a man trying to stop any other eight year olds from losing their parents (IMO, at least).

Yeah I agree with Emily. I haven't read the spoilers. But I think that the character of Joe Chill greatly adds to the tragedy–the mere fact that he was a random nobody.

Batman has faced gods, aliens, sorcerers, assassins, and yet the man that truly broke him wasn't bane it was Joe Chill.

His great tragedy was that Bruce Wayne did die at crime alley. Instead we have a man in a quest that will never end.

Joe Chill still could've been a nobody in the Telltale series, some random crook yanked right off the street and hired to bump off Thomas Wayne and his family and make it look like an escalated mugging.
