How cold is a northern summer? I've been assuming winter, hence that guy dying after a night in the open, but it seems like it's at least pretty cold any time of year so that might still work.

I think I'm gonna start putting approximate timestamps on my posts.

So... What's Joramun up to?

At the height of summer there where still heavy snowfalls in the North, so it stands to reason there would be in spring as well.

Pretty damn cold, though it might be fall or winter too... Basically what I'm going off of is that the Night's Watch was formed after a really long winter.

...Do the Wildlings even have an economy?

It a combination of barter system and rapeology.

...Looking at The Other Wiki's page, a barter system would technically count as an economy, though I doubt they have much, if any, economic growth...

Stupid idea: Knit dozens of ropes together to make a long, thick, cable and let it harden in the cold. The ropes will contract and be knit even tighter and stronger. Climb down into valley.

There is a way down, if you look hard enough, but that would probably work too.

I think we should all take after John's idea of RP dates attached to our posts. I tend to get lost in the time of the RP, so that should help.

Y'know, I think every character should have a particular story goal or mission they should be working towards, not just a couple of them. I don't mind waiting around for Joramun (that's what I'm doing, in case it's not clear), but I feel like some others have been kind of of hung out to dry.

Sorry. I was honestly unprepared for exactly how fast we would be out of the gate, and we burned through much of what I had planned for the first week in the first day, so I've been having to improvise, which is also why my posting has slowed, and why not everyone has things to do, yet. The only ones who I have clearly defined long term goals, at this point, are Maylas and Howel. I'm trying to figure out some for the rest, right now...

Small sidebar: Does anyone here have any art/graphic skills? I was thinking we could make a Tumblr post to advertise the RP. :P
