Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn Draft (Spoilers Ahoy)

There's no other gameplay differences other than a couple of extra base conversations and a couple of items you can sell from them.

I'll go with Jill for my first pick. She rides dragons and doesn't afraid of anything.

Darn it, she was the next one I was kind of hoping for. But I knew this would happen.

I think I'll go for Laura, if only to smooth my passage through Part 1.

I have no issues with the decided rules, by the by, and as for my pick, I'll go with good ol' Chuck Nolan.

Well, now that you guys have done your best to fuck me for part 1 and everything with Micaiah afterwards (I was REALLY hoping to get Jill), leaving me to basically solo with Sothe and Micaiah. maybe I'll pick up some part 1 leftovers later.

I guess I'll take Marcia and Aran. The former because I need a flier and she'll make part 2 easier, and the latter so I don't get completely fucked in part 1.

Y'know, it wasn't answered if Nolan's free for 1-1.

I think when I get back later tonight I'll play through the first couple of chapters and see how that goes without him.

I don't think it's necessary to make him free, but I'm fine with it if you guys want to make it so.

I really don't think he's necessary, but then, I have him, so I'm not one to talk.

As for my next pick, I choose Elincia, Queen of Crimea.

He's not necessary. I did it the first time or two without him, assuming he was the Jiegen of the game. Also, because his steel axe would be hard pressed to hit the broad side of a barn at that point in the game.

Hmm... I'm torn between two choices... Erm...

I'll go for Brom, the RURAL JUGGERNAUT

Well, I was HOPING to get to pick again relatively soon.

When does Sothe show up in chapter 2? This is important, because if it's late enough of a location, I'll just use Edward or Nolan to help break through. I mean it'd still be fewer turns than soloing all that with Micaiah Mc Glass Cannon.

He shows up at the start of turn 2, but in the northwest corner of the map (Your group starts in the southeast).

I thought it was once you reached a specific location.

Pretty sure it's at the start of turn 2. I could be mistaken.

Also, some of the map objectives differ between easy and normal/hard. For example, 1-5 changes from Rout on easy to "Defend 6 turns" on normal/hard.

1-5 is Rout on easy? That is actually kind of funny, since that makes the chapter take longer, I'd think.

As for Sothe in 1-2, he shows up on the start of turn two.

Yeah, it is. And there's a lot fewer enemies too. It's more than possible to do it in four turns if you've got a solid strategy.

Oh I know. Killing a bunch of wimpy mooks is a lot easier than surviving a bunch of strong ones, but I just find it amusing that that of all things is what they changed.

1-3 changes from Defeat Boss to Escape (if I recall).

1-2 changes from Rout to Laura Arrives.

Oh I'm aware of the changes, I just find that particular change amusing. Do the Begnion troops just go "well fuck, this isn't worth it, take the enormous force hunting the prince back home"? Seems silly, when in 1-2 Laura obtains the medicine for her abbot, and in 1-3 you're escaping from prison. I actually don't remember what happens when the 6 turns are up, now that I think of it...

Alright, I'll take your word for it on Nolan, hope I wasn't overly insistent, just didn't want anyone getting frustrated.

—but I'll take Nephenee the Kingslayer, who went up against Ashnard with five other heroes and a few laguz, and lived to tell the tale.

Even if I don't get her sweet transfer bonuses, she did end the 2-1 boss in one shot with a Wrath critical; she can probably do it again and I wouldn't want that going to waste.

Wow, I'm feeling like I'm gonna be straight frakked in part 1 and part 3's Daein chapters. I was hoping to at least snag Leo in the next round of recruiting.
