Is there significant misuse?
Also, write the title as a Wiki Word, or it won't link properly. I made the correction by clicking that paper icon on the top left of the first post.

I don't know that there's any sort of misuse for the term. I just feel that the term itself is ambiguous in what it actually means.

Brought Down to Normal found in: 865
articles, excluding discussions.
Since January 1, 2011 this article has brought 759 people to the wiki from non-search engine links.
Healthy trope. Due to lack of sufficient evidence to request a rename, I'm locking up.

Alrighty. Well, I just watched the Legend of Korra, and considering that it's the main schtrick of the Big Bad to de-power people, I was adding an example to the character page. I don't know if I had ever read the Brought Down to Normal article, but I thought I knew what it meant just by the name.
I did not.
So I'm actually proposing a name change. When I hear the phrase "Brought Down to Normal", I thought it referred to someone losing their power permanently, being truly brought down to a normal level.
My personal proposal is "Normal for a Day", or "Single Episode De-Power." Something that expresses its brevity clearly, rather than ambiguously.
