NEVER EVER USE MORE THEN ONE ANTI VIRUS.
They will have a war with eachother and take your computer with them.
The best AV is to not download software from shady sites.
Ad blocking doesn't make a difference unless you are using an insecure browser. A malicious ad could redirect you or otherwise make browsing hell, but it is impossible to install malware from the web unless there is a vulnerability in your browser.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayYou are forgetting that some browsers sometimes allow plugins to be installed without notifying the user and a plugin can contain a virus.
If true, that is a security vulnerability. You should disable it and update your browser. Though I'm not sure which browser you are talking about here. Maybe old versions of IE?
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayYou can allow invisible plugin installation in firefox.

I don't see that as an option any here.
Look at the first check box on the security tab.
Okay, it seems to be enabled by default, and to be honest any one who disables that deserves what happens. ._.;
Is there such thing as a breakaway ethernet cable connector?
I was wireless on my computer but my usb device is not compatible with win 10, I have to run a cable across the room with a carpet over it but it is so easily tripped over it.
Now I like being wired seeing how I get triple the DL speeds but tripping hazard is a serious problem.
I know from experience that if you break the latch, the thing slides out way too easily.
That.
Just snap the latch on one, and you have a DIY one.
This sounds like what you're looking for.
Alternatively you could get one of these flat Ethernet Cables and fixate them with duct tape.

Tempting but I will probably just get a new wireless network card, an internal one this time, it will probably be about as much. There are a lot of computer stuff I want to get sadly.
On that same note, anyone know when the nVidia 1060s are going to come out? Been saving up for one when they come out.

AMD's not pulling any punches: the new RX 480 graphics card brings GTX 980-level performance for $200.
Holy crap... I might want to get that instead of an nVidia 1060.
Now that is a tough choice
AMD has big driver issues, while the hardware never ceases to impress, expect preformance issues with games, if some will even play at all.
I am using an AMD 6670 right now and things play. Its just so old and such that I am barely breaking 30 fps on lowish settings in the Wo W Legion Beta.

So I have this file which GIMP won't open.
I checked the properties and it doesn't seem to be anything wrong there. When it tries to open it the message that pops up is "Opening 'C:\Users\Kaitlyn\Documents\Steven Tale Ruins Strip 1.xcf' failed:
GIMP XCF image plug-In could not open image"
So what is the problem exactly and how do I fix it?
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing. So, I threw your error into Google ( I don't necessarily expect you to do that - answers to errors like that can involve a little programming experience to even know what people are asking you to do ) and I found this forum thread: http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=11710
If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, then you'll see that that person's file was all zeroes. I downloaded your file and checked it with Hx D ( a hex editor program ) and your file is exactly the same - there is no data there ( it's 5.6 megabytes of zeroes ). You can prove that, if you've got notepad++, open the file with that and see that it's just a bunch of null bytes, and no other form of data. I'm sorry, the file is empty. The only thing I recommend is that the third post in that thread states that there's an autosave plugin for GIMP so that you've ongoing work backed up.
Damn it. And I thought I was being safe by saving it. I just shut my laptop after it because I though regular saving was near instaneous.
So does anyone have a link to this autosave plugin?
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Does anyone know of a way that I can make my videos less blurry on Youtube? I mostly use Virtualdub and Windows Movie Maker for editing videos but I also have video conversion software that can help too. I just need help with making sure that my videos are as clear as possible.
"Eratoeir is a Gangsta."I only know the theory here, and nothing about the software, but you can apply a sharpening filter to your videos. You can also go straight to the recommended youtube video format when converting to lossy after editing.
Googling the issue is useless so I figured I'd ask here. Today my computer has shut off twice within 10 to 20 minutes even though it says the battery is fully charged and when I plug it in and turn it on again it shows the battery as empty. Anyone know what could be causing this and how to fix it?
The best antivirus is a good adblocker. I know that's a shitty thing to say on an ad supported site, but it is some of the best home computer security advice that can be offered. Ads are the number one infection vector. Also know what the hell you're downloading and uncheck adware offers from program installers (or install Unchecky which detects such on installers and disables them). And download from official sites instead of CNET and other adware-peddling download sites.
Basically block ads and be smart about downloads
