Looks like Hal is trying to Heel–Face Turn his Face–Heel Turn.

Batman distrusting him makes me think of how the former felt about the latter after the whole Parallax debacle.

And then there's the guardians letting him back in. Seems that while they aren't evil in this world, they are still incompetent.tongue

I had an idea once, before Injustice 2 was announced, on a direction they could have taken the sequel. I would have loved to see another alternate universe where Batman becomes the villain, rather than the continuation of the current story line.

I was thinking of cribbing The Superior Spider Man and having a dying Lex Luthor attempt to steal Bruce Wayne's body, learning too late that he's the Goddamn Batman, and being absorbed into Bruce rather than absorbing him. So Batman now has access to Lexcorp and starts planning to merge it with Wayne Enterprises and starts planning how he can use this newfound power against crime.

Have another nuked-Metropolis-style disaster, make Batman officially retire, Bruce Wayne become President of the US, and have him refuse to acknowledge that maybe the Lex inside him is a bad influence and that his Bat-Will isn't as ironclad as he thought.

So the Batman-Regime is President Batman and his Lex/Wayne-tech armed military cracking down hard on everything. Superman and friends aren't going to want to utterly curbstomp jack-booted normals, add in some new elite-Batgoons, that super-power serum and whoever would willingly follow him, and maybe some Bat-Body Doubles so that nabbing President Batman isn't as simple as grabbing him during a fascist speech.

Then the third game would be about Wonder Woman losing her shit. And being the character with the power of love and truth she eventually resists the urge to become a tyrant and starts seeing the bigger picture—an extra-dimensional power that enjoys fucking with the Big Goods of different worlds, pushes them to their breaking point, and throws super-serum into the mix so that everyone can juggle trains and punch people through city blocks.

Would have given each of the big three to enjoy the villain's limelight and further justify why the best of the super heroes are turning into tyrants.

Of course, with recent developments in DC comics, I guess my hypothetical big bad would turn out to be Dr. Manhattan.

So, was that Zoom? Will he actually be playable?

Because that'd be great if he were.

Premium Skin for Flash. Part of one of the editions IIRC.

Zoom, John Stewart and Power Girl are skins you get from the ultimate edition.

Are they voice acted skins with different lines and such?

@Rotpar

Except Regime Luthor wasn't evil.

Anyway, it's kinda silly the Guardians would let Hal back in after he killed so many of the GLC. I think i would have preferred if he joined the Blue Lanters.

I'd prefer if he stayed in prison, and they brought in Simon Baz or Jessica Cruz as the new Green Lantern.

Maybe it's a Grey Wardens sort of thing, and they're forcing him to atone.

Interest reaching critical mass.

That story trailer..... ahhh... aaoow.

This is the Batman v Superman we needed.

  • Wally West
  • Batman and Robin fighting together
  • Harley and Canary hanging out
  • Some intensities altercations and strong words between Superman, Fate, and Batman
  • Of course Harley knows Bruce is Batman... and she still calls him Bats! [lol]
    • I actually wish this was part of the regular DCU. If the Batman storylines somehow how led up to Harley being a good gal and teaming up with Batman in some capacity. I mean, he takes in orphans, military brats, and circus performers, why not damaged, psychology majors?
  • Grodd and the society!
  • Flash v Kid Flash on the highway!
  • Bruce Wayne's identity is known!

Smokey: While that's might make more sense for the story, it also won't sell games. John Stewart would probably sell games, and maybe Kyle Rayner. But I think they're probably both dead? Guy Gardner, Simon Baz, and Jessica Cruz would leave the majority of people scratching their heads and saying "who?"

Anyway, the trailer makes it pretty clear that they didn't just hand him his ring back as if nothing had happened. His chapter seems like it'll be at least partially devoted to the trials he went through to earn it again. And I'm fine with that.

Unless there was a black Professor Zoom in the comics I'm pretty sure that was Wally West.

Really? Because he didn't look like he had the telltale open-topped cowl of Kid Flash, and the lightning bolt was reversed on a black background.

Could be Daniel West, I suppose. Or Wally's evil. Weird they'd go with that if they're doing him as the Reverse Flash skin.

The aesthetic doesn't fit (the red piping and the design of the cowl, yes) but it makes more sense if it's Wally. Plus Injustice has been monkeying around with costume designs since the start. Batman and Flash still have their ugly armored suits.

After "yellow," that's really the only defining characteristic of the Kid Flash suit, though. It'd be like Superman being the same, but with an orange cape instead of red. Hell, Original!Wally still has it in his Rebirth Flash suit.

Also, it doesn't explain the icon on his chest. That's clearly a Reverse-Flash emblem.

I suppose it makes sense for the story, but if our Reverse-Flash premium skin is Wally West instead of Eobard Thawne, I'll be disappointed.

I'm pretty sure it's Eobard Thawn. Ed Boon has gone on record saying that Thawn is his favorite supervillain, so it'd be odd for them to use a different version to fight Barry (I could understand Zolomon if Wally was Flash).
