My Little Pony D10 Game

Was planning on doing this a bit later when there might be fewer repercussions for being caught, but there haven't been any other posts for a while, so I'll do it now.

The Crow noticed that everypony else was occupied with other things. He decided that he must try and steal some of Star Shine's jewels.

Wow. Okay, take 2 character points for making the game interesting. Let's see how this goes.

Let's see. That's Dexterity (I'm making it 3 as a small, inexperienced bird) + Stealth (2 as it seems to be something he'd do but is inexperienced with) - generosity (1 as it's a thief) + size modifier (I'll make it a 3) - circumstance modifier for it being hard to miss a bird taking off in the same room and swiping something (1...she has her back turned) = 6 dice. That's 7, 7, 5, 2, 4, 2 = 2 achievement points. Hah! Okay.

Let's see how Star Shine does: Wisdom + perception gives 6 acheivement points! (I had an incredibly lucky roll. So lucky, I'm going to reveal it to the watchers 7, 7, 10 reroll gave me a 9 So, spetacular success.

" Well, my parent's raised mein this very house. It wasn't qute so extensive back then, but it was still the largest home in-Why is your bird carting off my emerald hairpiece!"

Crystal, almost instinctively, grabs the bird using telekinesis. "Gotcha, you little pickpocket."

Unless a telekinetic grab can be resisted? She attempts to, in any case.

That would be a combat action. As such, I need you to roll combat + dexterity + magic - size modifier (3). You don't subtract kindness as you're not ttempting any harm and no range modifier as right there.

The crow's dexterity + athletics to avoid being caught gives...another fascinating roll 9, 1,1,1,1 That's minus 2 acheivement points! Good luck!

Dexterity 3 + Combat 1 + Magic 3 - Size Mod. 3 => (4, 7, 1, 3) => 0 points. At least it's not negative. So what's the verdict?

Bramble turns about just in time to see the crow get caught. He realises something.

"You seem to have a lot of gemstones," he begins, "are most of them presents?"

Clouds hears and witnesses The Crow attempting to steal one of Miss Star Shine's jewels and being caught in a poorly crafted telekinetic net.

"Wait. What? What just-? Why?"

" Um...Most are gifts from Desk, yes. He's always treating me...At least...up until recently...Still, he did send me something today and has promised a very special evening tomorrow."

''Clouds casts an angry look on the crow.

"Why would you steal like that?"

"We need to have a talk. Outside."

Not sure if I can snatch him out of the net or Crystal has to release him.

Yeah, Crystal would have to le go.

Crystal dispelled her magical hold on the crow.

Turning back to Star Shine, she asked, "What did he send you? Is it okay if we take a look at it?"

The Crow has a dejected look as Clouds carries him outside, slamming the door on the way out.

As long as nothing unexpected happens, I'll be able to coast on this for a while. :P

" Sure. It's on the table."

Also, that interaction with your crow has pt a point of strain on your relationship.

Sorry about that. The crow is supposed to look for drugs, but it seems to be making more and more mistakes lately. I wouldn't suppose the emerald actually contained any drugs?

From outside the house, a faint yelling can be heard.

"Why would you do that? Those emeralds belong to someone and you know it!"

And looks like I have to adjust the backstory a bit :P

EDIT: And Private Eye is known for lying. Time to change that to a non-drug-based thing...

That's actually brilliant. Take 2 character points, Story. But you'll need to roll socialise + presentation - honesty.

You're going against Star Shine's wisdom + judge, the result of which is...2 achievement points.

EDIT: Looks like you won't have to subtract your honesty after all and crowlover has given you a one die bonus.

The faint conversation continues

"You can't just go up and steal somepony's stuff like that!"

"Hypocrite? What do you mean I'm a hypocrite?"

Ah, the partially unwrapped box. Crystal had an odd feeling about what was inside. She decided to read the attached note before opening the box.

Ballad had sat quietly to the side during the whole ordeal. He had little idea what was going on, in truth; he really only came into the house to escape the threat of the dragon's return. Not that a meager pony structure would afford him any defense, not if the tales he'd heard of dragons were true. Still, it at least made him feel better. He sat beside the case of Desk Job's gifts, Gazing over them as tales of great flying beast whirled through his head. Slowly, silently, the gears in his mind clicked away.

Guh, I need to do something to get back into this. Can I do a lore check to see if I can put 2 and 2 together, or should I just wait for this to play out, since it looks like it's going that way anyways?

"Well, yes, my plan from getting the mayor back was sneaking him out, which could be called stealing, but isn't that a bit of a stretch?"

"Caw Caw"

"Fine, the mayor isn't the best role model in that either, but still..."

@Kegi: You can try an investigation check (add intelligence) to try discover more significant clues, but you wouldn't have learned the plot before hand, so no lore check.

Also, crowlover, take 2 character points for amusing me on a bad day. I'l also let you do a tame + charisma roll to try get your relationship back up.

Crystal walks over to the box and opens the card. Reservations to a fancy resturant fall out. The card says, "My Love, I'm sorry that I haven't been able to spend time with you recenty. You deserve far better than I. I have searched for a way to finally express my lov for ou in a way that you deserve and I have finally found it. I have made dinner reservations for us. Wear the dres in the box and meet me for the wonderful time that I have prepared for you. You'llnever have to worry about us being apart again. I love you, Desk."

I have a feeling that if we had female players, they would have worked out what was going on already.

What, the impending proposal? You kind of gave that away pages ago.

Oh. Yeah. I forgot that I'd already told you guys that. I wa wondering how many more hints I had to throw in.

Crystal needs an investigation + intelligence roll for that.
