Though I don't know if anyone has predicted when the death of our universe will come. Merely that it is considered to be a certainty. Just as life dies and rocks erode so too will the universe fall. But just as souls are recombined so too will a new universe be born.
Prediction wise all I can think of is the Maitreya. He is a future Buddha who will come when Buddhism is either forgot or so twisted beyond its original purpose that it is in effect forgotten. The Maitreya will then preach a new and more complete Dhamma than what Shakyamuni gave and start a new Buddhist revolution that is to shape the history of the world.

If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan Chah
Do singularity predictions fall within the scope of this thread? They are not precisely about the "End of the World" in the strict sense, but they are still attempts to predict a possibly devastating event of titanic proportions.

But they seem to know where they are going, the ones who walk away from Omelas.
