That's a horrible pic...no ideas on a replacement, though.

Wow - that's awful. I really can't figure out what's going on there, at all. Unfortunately I also can't think of any good replacements at the moment. I'll try to come up with something.
"Did anybody invent this stuff on purpose?" - Phillip Marlowe on tequila, Finger Man by Raymond Chandler.Should we pull the Earthbound image for the meantime? It's just confusing for anyone that hasn't played the game.

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."The dialogue does give enough of a clue as to what's happening. Not a good pic, but it's not clueless or misleading either.
Don't pull.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.Maybe this image from Naked Gun 2 1/2: http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg4/scaled.php?server=4&filename=almostdeadx.png&res=landing
The scene its from embodies the trope and you can tell the guy is in bad shape. Slap an appropriate caption on there and we're good to go.
Clock is set.
Clock's up; locking for inactivity/lack of consensus. No action is to be taken based on this thread.
Had I not played Earthbound before, I wouldn't even know that the almost dead guy there is supposed to be a nigh invisible bee-like alien (don't ask). I think it should be changed, finding a good example that doesn't involve a 1 pixel sized character shouldn't be too hard.
