I'm getting it, but I might decide not to. It looks like just an expansion pack for XV 1, rather than a new game. Even has the same parallel quests, if the beta is anything to go by. I also feel the story in 3 will be way better, since they'll have Goku Black and the universe tournament to integrate. This feels like Budokai 2 so far: improvement over the abysmal first, but will probably come up really short when compared to the next.
They should've just released it next spring. Then it would be 2 years after XV 1, and win them some good will for avoiding that yearly dragonball game stigma.

If they'd released this next spring, they would've just garnered a lot of ill will - people will be less forgiving of a game that had a far longer time to make something impressive.

Ideally, they'd be spending the next 5 months working on the game, so the state it's in now would not be how it's released in the spring, in the hypothetical scenario.

Also, Dimps has stated that XV2 is what they wanted the first XV to be like, and that XV3 won't probably be released until 2018 at the earliest so they can make that game the biggest DB project yet.

I think I might skip this too. If this is anything like Tenkaichi then Xenoverse 3 will be the one worth playing. Last time the gimmick was villains getting stronger and this time it's villains getting displaced. I wonder what they'll do in the sequel.

Meanwhile, if it's anything like the Budokai Tenkaichi situation, 3 will be the most popular, but 2 will be the better game to me.
Mostly because I always disliked how Budokai Tenkaichi 3 would do most of the work for you when it came to comboing and stuff. Yeah, it looked more impressive, for sure, but BT 2 actually required a greater degree of skill to play well.

Bah, skill, schmill. Just beat the Story Mode, hack the red potara characters, and waste Broly, Bojack, Great Ape Vegeta, second form Frieza, or Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta on their highest AI level at your leisure.
