Just wanted to point out the small (hopefully unintentional) typos, like the missing "n" in "unknown" in the thread, the missing "l" in "magical psychic powers!", and the extra "l" in "faithful." Also, is Thomas intended to be spelled as "Tomas"? Just curious.
Now, please describe "stops magically calming himself". I don't see to get what you mean by that? How can someone calm themselves magically? Can't they do that on their own without the use of magic?
Sorry for the mistakes, but Tomas is right. When I named the character I was unaware of the "Thomas" spelling.
Tomas' power is complicated but mainly: once he experiences magic Tomas can re-experience. An empath used his power to calm Tomas once, so afterward Tomas managed to calm himself at will. It is true that people can calm themselves without magic, but Tomas' way is just stronger and faster.

In my story, the main character's father left the family, and even before he wasn't very faithfull. Years later his half-siblings find him.
Also there is magical-psychic powers!
The main character is Tomas (age 17), he has an... complicated magical power, the basic form is recover lost memories, and he is learning to recover mental states caused by magic, as such he can make himself magically calm (doesn't work on others). Tomas is sort of the Nice Guy or tries to be.
Tomas also has a full-blood brother called Harold (age 19), he is powerless.
My main problem: How should Tomas and Harold react to the siblings?
Relevant Details:
When they had just met Meghan accuses Tomas's mom of killing Pearl, causing Tomas to magically calm himself while hearing the full story.
I am confused to what he should feel when he stops magically calming himself.
