The zones in xros wars were not that big, they are more like islands floating in a independent atmosphere and shared space (as arkadimon showed) because nobody needed to walk much, and there are multiple cases in which the zone collapsed, showing just how small they really were (roughly the size of one of the pieces of file island). Even the death kingdoms were not particularly large, considering that unlike the 200 something zones there were only around 9 of those (remember that area scales up geometrically).

The slight deviation demonstrates that Xros Wars' real world (should we call it physical) is considerably smaller and the digital world is about average, meaning that the power needed to take it over is smaller, or rather, nil (if you just restrict yourself to the digital world) because all you need is control over the code crown.

Absorbing data is not a real indication of power, because by that token any digimon in tamers, like for example Terriermon, could be a match for Lucemon. Power in xros wars is rather evidently determined by the plot, in a super robot tradition but if you want to make comparisons I would try seeing the damages on the scenery even though it doesn't work for Bagramon because he never made any collateral damage (such a nice villain, no wonder he switched sides).

To be honest, within Xros Wars I prefer the manga version, especially in terms of villains.

So Bagramon making a giant Arm in outer space and turning the entire world into a lifeless husk casually, while still beating the crap out of the heroes with his weaker arm counts as weak, especially since it's obvious by that time, Shoutmon X7 is at least as strong as Gallantmon Crimson mode or Imperialdramon Paladin mode? Or the fact that Bagramon's arm is made out of Yggdrasil's (yes, THAT yggdrasil) tree, or the fact that it's generally considered that Darkness Bagramon is stronger then fricken NEO, of all things?

Also, like I keep saying, most of the Zones have an outerspace with stars in them and the battle with Arkadimon in the series showed that. Or the fact that they have to warp to each zone just to get to each one?

Arkadimon existed in the space between the zones, if I recall correctly, and I think it's reasonable to assume that they warped to each zone by crossing said space. Think of it as an archipelago rather than a continent, in which each island appears as if it were a world on it's own despite their small size.

I suppose being unable to use an arm that can't deal physical damage is very limiting. Less sarcastically, yes it was impressive. Although I don't agree with your power rankings since I would put X7 around adventure's machinedramon and I certainly don't see how Darkness Bugramon can even be compared to mr. "I lose because I felt like it" NEO.

Again, I Bagramon's power more interesting in the manga because there he actually manages to separates the body from the spirit.

Omega Shoutmon alone is stronger then Any of the Dark Masters by Proxy of having Omega Inforce. Shoutmon X7 would destroy most Adventure cast members period with ease.

Really, Crimson Mode sucked in Tamers if you take the stuff from the dictionary into account. Its supposed to be when he takes complete control of the Digital Hazard, and Tamers itself decided the hazard could eradicate both worlds at the same time passively He should have been able to destroy the D-reaper if Tamers was sticking to that by the letter. Of course in the manual the hazard is simply "massive system corruption", not "end of the world" so they really did not care that much.

Maybe shoutmon should have been that strong, given what his fluff text says about him but the truth is his strength in relation to the dark masters is completely up in the air because Adventure uses a level system and Xross Wars doesn't.

Cherubimon was the best one I guess. Dub emperor, Daemon and Apocalymon were all fun too. None of the Tamers villains were really hateable except for "Earth reaper" if you're separating them and even then, the fights with the thing really were not cathartic beyond the cap off to Impmon's personal arc.

[up][up]Which part of "the same digimon don't have the necessarily the same power levels they used to" doesn't apply here? If you'll look at what Omega Shoutmon actually did, it was more of a shiny light show than actual destruction. At most, you could say he was very fast but the speed he showed doesn't compare with the likes of magnamon, who also showed more destructive power. And again, each of X7's wide area attacks seem to annihilate a space roughly the size of a city block, similar to machinedramon.

[down][down]I didn't even realise there was another post.tongue

Regardless, I think we are going a little off topic and besides, what makes a good villain doesn't have much to do with personal combat ability - Kurata is a prime example.

[up][up][up][up][up][up]I really wouldn't say islands in size. The only area fit on that description is Heaven Zone, but otherwise the zones are shown to be very large since we don't see their edges.

As for the power absorption (rather, eating away digital existence), it was more in context with the series. No other enemy was doing that.

[up]Shoutmon's solo evolutions are more of a kamen rider in a larger scope, but he is definitely strong enough to take down an army by himself. And Shoutmon X7 and his superior mode are definitely strong, even though they don't show any destruction to the area they caused.

I'm just going to assume that arrow is a sign of agreement because I otherwise don't know why luislucas point to my post.
