But before that happens, the fleet succumbs to starvation at that "rendezvous point"
Why would they have other options? The Crucible had already altered the Catalyst with the 3 choices (the Catalyst textually says this during the conversation with Shep).

Instead, I have learned a horrible truth of existence...some stories have no meaning.where is this Wordof God ?

Because the next cycle's "Shepard" is smarter than this one, and came up with the Orange choice: Systematic deactivation of every AI system that was not created by that "Shepard"'s race.

Some BSN forum posts. They were linked some pages ago.
Instead, I have learned a horrible truth of existence...some stories have no meaning.I just realized that I actually like the three main endings now.
Destroy is a good "victory at great cost" type of ending. As far as I'm concerned, the "blood" of the geth and EDI is on the Catalyst's hands, as he could have just left our galaxy alone.
Control is a good old fashioned Heroic Sacrifice ending. Also, Shepard becomes a god(ess). That is inheritly awesome.
Synthesis is also a Heroic Sacrifice ending, but for people who don't find the cyborg utopia to be creepy.

Nah, it was the "Purple" choice, nanotechnological activation of the citadel into a Super Robot
The outcome of the choices isn't necessarily bad, but keep in mind we need to have rage stored in our hearts for the fact that they all came out of effin' nowhere for no reason with no hints or foreshadowing. In other words...
Fuck the cat-is shot-

btw did someone already compare Controll to the ending of Madoka?

Or maybe it was the White ending. The new Shepard actually gets to talk to the Catalyst about its stupid as fuck logic.
It was a difficult delivery, now it's growing up mean and strong. The next cycle went with pink. The Reapers were defeated by the Power of Love.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. The new civilizations create the Crucible, put it next to a Relay and when the Reapers come they blow up said Relay. Then when there are no Reapers left they go to the Citadel and mock the Catalyst, that cries and throws tantrum like a toddler.
x4 Agreed with Shirow. I couldn't care less about if the galaxy goes to a new golden age or not, I cared about good storytelling and the characters I knew.

Instead, I have learned a horrible truth of existence...some stories have no meaning.Okay guys, so the Catalyst initiated the first Cycle by forcing its creators to become the first Reapers, right?
Umbran Climax◊Easy way to fix Destroy: The wave destroys all REAPER-Tech, thous not killing the geth+EDI but just erasing the reaper code and reducing them back to ME 2 standings (well except for EDI but she was a KI before she got reaper tech soo maybe the power of love keeps her sane or something)
Someone should write a fanfic based on the Refuse option, with the next cycle discovering Liara's message.
I'd do it, but, you know . . . lazy.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. Then why would anyone picks something other than Destroy.
The strange thing is that this forum's attitude toward the EC is somehow more negative than that of the BSN.

I like this idea... but I would edit it. Have a sacrificial soul who pilots the Citadel into a Relay as the Reapers attempt to take it. While mocking the Catalyst as it cries and throws a tantrum.
I edit it as such because I don't think the Reapers would just go after the Crucible portion prior to the Citadel...
I'd do it but I'm lazy and suck at everything involving words.
It was a difficult delivery, now it's growing up mean and strong. We probably care more about storytelling than they do. This is a site built on analyzing stories, so we apply literary analysis to the ending.
The BSN is based on wanting to love Bio Ware.

X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.I don't mind the EC so much as it reminds me the endings exist in the first place. And the EC doesn't fix it so much as put a bandaid on a gaping bullet wound. It fixes some of the most blatant plot holes, but the core problems remain.

Yes.
Agreed.
Agreed. BSN is based on loving Bioware or hating it. My sacred mission is to judge the storytelling of the game.

It was a difficult delivery, now it's growing up mean and strong.@ Irrose: Yeah why make destroy the ending 90% of the fans choose, it clearly wasn't before "Sarcasm"
Na i get me some sleep, the suns already rising over here

No, seriously. BSN is a fan site. The majority of people either love Bioware, hate Bioware, or switch between the two.
Good nights.

Instead, I have learned a horrible truth of existence...some stories have no meaning. You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means. Donate money to Skullgirls, get a sweet poster.
@Kiefen: The game viewed Destroy pretty optimistically. Hell the combined forces of the galaxy manage to repair the Citadel and the Mass Relays without Reaper help.
@Anfa: God Never Said That. Word of God is that the next cycle used the Crucible, but nothing was said about what choices they were offered.
