I'm going to give this a tentative Keep Until Better Image Suggested...definitely would like to see something better. Hell, even a color version of the current pic would be an improvement.
The image is dark, readers have to focus more on reading the words that are superimposed over the image (rather than just look at the image content itself), and the words themselves don't do enough to get the real specifics of the trope across.
I don't see any reasons why the image should be kept unless something else is found first. The present image is still garbage, and nothing is always more preferable than garbage.

Well, I did make a suggestion in the top post.
If we can agree on this much, then we can concur that the page would still be better off without the current image, anyway.

No, I think "it's better than nothing, but we should find something better" is reasonable. It is weak. Not terrible, though.
I like the Final Fight image. Bricks look interesting too. One thing the current has over some of the suggestions is, it is not just some photograph.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I like the video game collage (not just Final Fight, since I see a Y.Signal from Streets Of Rage there), but I'm noticing some scaling issues - on at least the guy with "BAD" on his shirt, some columns are thinner than others...
Moon◊I put up the current image after finding it on a site with lots of "weird promo ads from old TV Guides" content. Unfortunately, unless anyone else has a huge stack of vintage TV Guides lying around, that means a better-technical-quality image is unlikely (though I suppose bumping up the brightness a bit wouldn't hurt.)
IMO, the image as a whole (meaning, you don't get to disregard the text simply because you don't think images should include text) fits the trope nicely. It's not just about what the kid looks like, but the title, the fact that the issue is being addressed in an Afterschool Special starring TV's Doc from the Love Boat, etc.
And the fact that the kid doesn't really look all that much like a trope fits the trope as well, since it's all about.
Though this might all depend on issues being discussed in the TRS thread for the trope.
Jet-a-Reeno!Here's a higher-quality version of the current, if nothing else presents itself.
Clock is set.
Clock's up; locking for inactivity/lack of consensus. I uploaded the better-quality version of the current...beyond that, nothing needs to be done based on this thread.
This image is just awful. You can only barely make out that the guy is a punk. Just type "punk" into GIS and you'll get a hundred better examples, such as this one◊.
