The trope seems to be about "webcomics that take place in the same world as each other". Nothing to do with The Multiverse, which is about things that don't take place in the same world. So yeah, the word "multiverse" in the title doesn't mean what the word normally means.

Rename to something using words that it actually means? The Multiverse is about things that take place in different worlds, not the same world. This thing is the latter instead of the former. This title is using the word "Multiverse" for something the word doesn't actually mean.

Yeah, this is closer to The 'Verse than The Multiverse. Maybe this could be renamed just Webcomic Universes?

I didn't write any of that.

If it were called Webcomic Sandwich I would ask the same thing. And? Why? So?

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.

[up] Because "Multiverse" means exactly the opposite of this trope. It's as if the name was chosen by somebody who didn't even know what the word means. It was already brought up in the archived discussion. If the word "sandwich" was in the title, it would have been metaphorical. But this title sounds literal, despite using a word with the wrong meaning.

By the way, Webcomic Shared Realities was suggested there, and it actually means what the trope is.

No, what he means is that in order to make a TRS thread you need something more than disliking the name. You need a concrete argument that it's bad. Like this one:

Webcomics Multiverses found in: 8 articles, excluding discussions.

Since January 1, 2011 this article has brought 14 people to the wiki from non-search engine links.

[up] Well, it's damn underlinked as well. Only 8 other articles, even though each example paragraph talks about a group of works.

Webcomic Giraffe then. The sticky at the top of this forum links to Trope Renaming Guidelines. Threads like this are supposed to be unceremoniously locked.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.

Still counts:

* The name is Unclear — it fails to indicate what the trope is about, and thus undermines our goal of making the trope as accessible to as great a portion of our readership as possible. This includes titles that have nothing to do with the trope,

[up] But you must prove it's unclear by showing misuse, or underuse. People call anything unclear right down to Exactly What It Says on the Tin titles. It's not valid without proof.

Right, this was a bad start. I'm locking this. Try again with a fully fleshed out argument.

Jesus that line gets linked a lot. The very next sentences are "If you think a name is unclear please be prepared to make substantial arguments and provide substantial evidence that the name is really unclear to actual readers, and that this lack of clarity exists outside your imagination."

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.
