So, did an episode air today?
It did, but apparently an old one. (Watson meets Sherlock's "dad". Yes, I put dad in quotes for a reason.)
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117I just watched Pilot and it seemed okay. Any of you guy thought it referenced The Hound of The Baskerville? The villain uses someone who is unable to control his/its urges and uses him/it to kill victim by making him/it more ferocious that he/it already is?

Elementary's Australian TV premier is on right now, is anyone watching it?
hashtagsarestupidEventually Holmes is going to figure out Watson isn't being paid. He's probably figured it out already.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.I found that part about Watson silently deciding to work for Holmes without pay a bit contrived and done so that they can just force some drama out of it. Not like it's something that could be pretty easily handled by just talking about it and Watson doesn't strike the type to avoid a necessary talk like that.
I guessed the same thing. I imagine he's currently waiting to see how long it takes her to tell him herself.
I'm pretty sure that Sherlock's "dad" is actually Sherlock himself. He does know Watson isn't being paid. He does know she was told to go. He does know that she chose to stay because she enjoys working with Holmes and not because she has to out of any work-related commitment.
Powered up in 1971. Brought online in 1982.M. Holmes?
It's either Mycroft or Moriarty. Almost certainly Mycroft.
The last hurrah? Nah, I'd do it again. The "M" Could be his father or Mycroft (and at this point we don't know that there's even a brother Mycroft) but in either case, I think it's Sherlock using that identity. He likes having things under his control. It's possible that Sherlock's father did actually hire Watson initially, but Sherlock's taken over the emails and text messages. Or hired someone to reply to the messages (considering he had an actor stand in for his father, this isn't impossible).
Powered up in 1971. Brought online in 1982.At this point, I'm wondering if Sherlock even has a father. or if his father is even invested in his mental wellbeing. or if Mycroft has been doing things in their father's name.
ophelia, you're breaking my heart@joeyjojo I saw a commercial for it, but was not impressed. What's it like? I might give it a try if sometime.
Wanna see the random crap I get up to? Me neither. http://jesseskwilliams.tumblr.com/@ Frogger: I don't know what your tastes and interest are! It is a decent show with good actors and adequate enough writing.
hashtagsarestupidThe mysteries aren't that great. The interaction between Holmes and Watson is sublime. It's the story of a woman who's deeply unhappy with her life and a man overcoming his drug addiction. It's brilliant.
ophelia, you're breaking my heartSo apparently his father is a real individual.
Beyond that, there's very little we can be certain of yet.
...Today's episode was... just... brilliant. I could almost feel what Sherlock was feeling in the scene where they were waiting for the step-father and the drug dealer dude basically flat out told him he needed drugs to make him a better detective. The acting in that scene was just beautiful. Not over the top, but noticeable and believable.
HE LIVES.
yuuus. I couldn't help feeling that he was evil!Watson. which makes sense.
and i'm ninety percent sure that reference to the case with the carbombs was a reference to Sherlock.
ophelia, you're breaking my heartI don't think I like this new dynamic. It was interesting that Watson had something outside of Holmes and that he had to put up with her in some way. Now it looks like she's only going to be Holmes sidekick. Even the original Watson had a job.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Partner. She's getting paid to put up with him. Original flavor!Watson couldn't even say that.
ophelia, you're breaking my heartThing I'm kinda missing is that Classic Watson was an adrenalin junkie, handy with his gun and not afraid to get his hands dirty if need be. The closest we've come so far is Joan's admitting the lack of classic PTSD symptoms in therapy and Sherlock strongly suggesting that she learn some basic self defense. I suppose it'd be a stereotype/cliche for Joan to already be accomplished in the martial arts though...
...She kind of is an adrenaline junkie, just a subtle one. I mean, her mother noted that her time with Sherlock has been the most fun she's had since she's been a surgeon.
May be harder to pull off in modern day New York as it is. Way I've heard it, New York isn't exactly as friendly to the idea of civilians carrying guns around as ye old London used to be, for one thing.
At first I thought the episode showing why it is bad for Watson to take on a role greater than simply being the Watson, but now I'm not sure. I'd like the police chew Holmes out for giving Watson time to do the analyzing thing when they all have actual police training.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Well the whole fact the captain even allows Homes on cases at all despite being a known drug addict and attempted murderer is pretty far fetched in it's self.

As someone who's from the US and thus doesn't watch Soccer, I assumed it was a subtle joke about the british and how Soccer is Serious Business for them, with Sherlock not being a fan of the Arsenals and thus having distaste in 'M's preferred team.
