Finally finished this.
And now I'm depressed.
- Kara and Alice died
- Luther died when the other boat started shooting - I actually reloaded to save him because he died distracting the guards at the bus station
- Hank died trying to prevent Connor from assassinating Marcus - I'd flip-flopped on letting Markus kill Connor or not, as I initially chose to shoot him by accident, went back and spared him, went back again and decided to follow through.
- The option to control him or Markus came up. I chose Markus. Viva la revolution. Still not sure where Markus got his martial arts skills from, but whatever.
- Connor was impaled
- Kara and Alice died
- The androids are now in control of Detroit - kind of went full Magneto there
- Josh died
- Kara and Alice died...
If I weren't already sitting I think I'd need to go sit down.
tl,dr: Markus was the only one who got what he really wanted. It seems my reflexes were just a little too good for this game.

Are you referring to the claims that it was selling user data to sell to China? If so, Wikipedia seems to claim that those have been disproven. See the last paragraph here.

Well there's no self-mutilation. Plenty of emotional moments and fatal accidents that you can be responsible for, but no excruciating scenes of physical torture that I've located.
