You didn't back? Well, you can always preorder now to get it DRM free.
Or ask Fargo or Avellone on twitter/email if it'll be available DRM free after launch.

They've said it will be available through multiple distribution channels, of which Steam is one. I'm getting the box set so I have the best of all possible worlds.
I had a strange idea. I haven't played Wasteland, so sue me if it was there, but how about a dialogue system in which you switch between your 4 rangers, just to enhance the role-play. You can make your dumb ranger say something stupid, and you can switch to your smart character, to punish him for being such a dumbass. It would definitely make roleplaying more fun.
If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked.I think they also should put it on GOG. Since they broadened their offers to put up more modern and indie games, it should be possible.
And it would look good on my shelf together with Fallout 2, Baldur's Gate and Ultima.
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.Grimrock went on both Go G and Steam so it's certainly a possibility.
Neverwinter Nights 2's second expansion did something quite similar. The party chat feature was very useful, since a lot of non-Diplomacy skills could be used in dialogue. Note that NWN 2 was made by Obsidian and they're helping with the game...
I think either Chris Avellone or Brian Fargo actually cited Storm of Zehir as an idea for how the party dialogue might work.
Oh, excellent. Party chat was fun, since you could use your characters to express a bunch of different viewpoints and not feel bad about your paladin extorting the citizenry.
I upped my pledge to thirty bucks. Me wants toys and geegaws with my games.
Ahem, Kickstarter pledges said about Steam release
What's wrong with Steam release?
^No, I meant people were previously mentioning about not knowing whether it does get Steam release and I pointed out that yes it does get Steam release.
Thanks for the heads up Spooky.
So, guys. What mechanics from Wasteland, Fallout and Dos need refining?

If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked.I was more curious about this post.
There are enough people with an irrational distaste for Steam out there, believe it or not.
I simply became very anti-DRM (and I don't see what's so irrational about that) and therefore I'm not willing to use Steam.
Not that it really matters. As of now, I have no way to use it, considering my awful connection.

People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.^I can understand. Steam flat out refused to work on my old laptop which meant I could only play steam games on weekends on my desktop, which in turn meant that despite preordering DXHR I couldn't play it until a few more days cause of that bullshit.
So now that Kickstarter is over the game is only just beginning. Wasteland 2 and inXile have their own forums and they'll be reading a lot of that fan feedback (and maybe other sites like NMA and RPG codex) in developing this game. Already there are people claiming that it shouldn't be a top down isometric game and demanding other nonsense features like getting married. Time to suit up and fight the good fight for a good old fashion party based isometric RPG.
Technically there is nothing wrong with being able to marry, but yeah its unnecessary also I think developers know what they won't listen to.(Plus Chris Avellone doesn't really like video game romance, at most it will be something like marriage in Fallout 2 :P(Hint: Its Shotgun wedding with someone who you can't remove from party and who sucks in combat and only way to remove them is to have them die. Also, you can pimp your spouse and remove their brains with machine for AI called Skynet to be able to have robot body to join you as companion(though human brains aren't best ones) :P))
I wonder if they'll do what some Kickstarter projects do: send out beta test copies to donors.
Jonah Falcon"Pledge $75 or more 1130 Backers

DOES NOBODY check their facts?
If you paid more than $75 or bought the $55 digital package, then you get to take part in the Steam beta.

Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!Welp, it's not me, then. $50 donation.
Jonah FalconSame. I suppose a box, cloth map, and instruction book will just have to suffice.

I'll get it on Steam, cause i'm lazy that way.
I hope the graphics aren't too high. My card sucks, but i'm probably gonna get a better one by October 2013.
