Prequel -or- Making A Cat Cry: The Adventure

I actually liked it a lot better when it was more focused on Katia's suffering. Now it seems to be sort of meandering around. I still like it, mind you, I just don't see where it's going.

Update: looks like Katia has some serious power. Too bad she can't control it.

And once again, Katia ends up naked, on the street, with nothing. Ah, back to the basics!

Well dang. That went sour quick.

Well, that's... sad.

I guess if the author allowed Katia to make new friends, repay her debt to Quill-Weave and join the mage guild, the main conflict would basically be resolved, so I guess the reset button will be pushed several more times in the future.

But, but, her robes... that's just way too monstrous.

Look on the bright side, now she can get a new outfit.

So I guess no one noticed the new update.

Looks like Katia might actually not take this lying down. Not sure what she can actually do though. Except maybe threaten to take off her necklace and burn up everything.

Well at least she's pissed. That's a step in the right direction.

Looks like an update slipped by me. Goddamn force fields.

Another update full of misery. I foresee many people threatening to stop reading. I will not be one of them.

After a long, uneventful break, Prequel is finally updating again. Now that I'm caught up and it's moving again, I should probably make an account on the forums so I can command the poor kitty myself. Or at least, contribute to her suffering just a little.

Wow, I never even noticed that bottle in the last update. This isn't going to go well. Oh cool, another title drop.

Wow, why was there a full bottle of mead in the trash? Probably because Katia has none of the luck, none of it.

She's in the chapel.... I wonder if Martin is gonna show up? Hm...... after all that wait, the update ends with nothing happening yet... well hopefully it won't take too long to see what happens next.

There is at least one silver lining her, Katia is definitely getting a lot more strong willed.

Another update so fast?! What do you guys think of the fake voices that have been popping up lately like BADEND and self-loathing? It's a nice way of having a voice push her the wrong way since presumably no one on the forum would put in something like that.

That was a good update.

Whoa. Right past the amulet. Katia is freaking powerful. Also, yay for self improvement. Katia has defeated (this particular) demon in the bottle.

I never pay enough attention to the suggestions to really notice, but I'm okay with it.

Now we just have to hope she notices the flames on the blanket. Otherwise she probably will feel worse than she does now.

Update.

I liked this one a bunch. The situation getting worse and more panicky and the sudden resolution was all great.

Edit: Oh, and there was this one that nobody pointed out earlier.

Tiny ominous update.

Looks like we're getting another dream sequence. This should be amazing.

Yeah, I hope so. The dream sequence was pretty much my single favorite part of the comic so far.

On an unrelated note, I kinda hope Kazerad starts using less of the suggestions in comic. The last update (the one where she was freaking out about the fire) was pretty much nothing but a massive wall of suggestions. I think there was like 40 or 50 of them. It's getting kind of ridiculous.

UPDATE. Katia looks quite precious with her little braids. I can't really tell how old she's supposed to be here due to the darkness, but definitely younger. This is presumably when she was still living in a castle.

I loved her response to the "check to see if your body has any holes" line.
