Since apparently we don't have a thread for this...

I didn't even notice when this was going on, and I'm having trouble watching the video. But I was browsing tvtropes, and I found a reference to Obama declaring in the address that the government should be reorganized to give the executive branch more power.

If that's true, what are the implications? What new powers would the executive gain, and why would the other branches vote that into place at all?

If its not true, where the hell did the rumor come from?

I remember seeing this on FOX at the gym. Most of it seems to originate from Glenn Beck. The comment section there is hilarious, if not depressing.

The only thing regarding that that I know if is that Obama wants the power to be able to merge three different government organizations into one in order to streamline the tasks they take care of because they do roughly the same thing. As it is, I think he has to go through Congress or something. Which really isn't that big an expansion, and seems like a reasonable thing that the president should be able to do.
