Not bad, but I'd like to see another option or two before making a decision.
I'm not big on it because he just looks like he's wearing all white clothes. The lady is drawn all in white too, after all, except for her black fur coat.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Well Oscar is a girl (it's a Shojo manga), and Rosalie does have her hair detailed, as well as her eyelashes, and unlike Oscar in that shot, her irises are drawn.
EDIT: But that should be more visible. I cropped it so the eyes are larger, but the hand holding is still in frame.

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Eh, a little better, but I still don't like it. Is it even an example?
Rhymes with "Protracted."That's why I was asking if it was in the OP.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Do you know in which chapter that pic appears? The Rose Of Versailles manga was released in France, and I have read it, but it was looooong ago, I need a refresh so I could check for you.

"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori YaeIt's approximately two-thirds into Volume 5 (can't see the specific chapter).
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Hmmmm, we don't have the same edition apparently. The one I read was made of 3 Doorstopper tomes. That, plus the fact I don't own them (I read them at my town's library) will make things difficult to pin where that pic was in the story. I'll try to have a throughout look next time I'll have a few hours available to go at the library and check.
"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori YaeWell it was around the halfway point, if that helps.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Just seeing if anyone can still help with this.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Ah, thanks for reminding me.
I've checked the library; unfortunately, they only had Tome 2 available, and I throughoutly checked it: the scene isn't in there. It must be in Tome 1 (since Tome 3 is just a compilation of sidestories). But that tome won't be returned back to the library until February 18th: unless someone other than me can answer before, I fear you'll have to wait until then.

"Your kindness gives me the presentiment I can be reborn. Now, I want to believe at least in you." - Kaori YaeI just put this on my thread watchlist then.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Bump. Still no image.
Clocking since this is at the point I'd've done that anyway.

Okay, would the picture work if we just put it up, and then someone can make another thread if they find a better one?
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. It works well enough for me.
If others like, it we can put it up.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Alright, the clock's up and there's not enough consensus to roll with the suggestion, so let's lock up and move on.
I found this when looking for pics to put on the Characters.Rose Of Versailles page. Now the reason I'm not strongly suggesting this is because I don't know the full context. This scene in the manga hasn't been translated. I do know that Rosalie has feelings for Lady Oscar, but ends up with Bernard, so this trope might apply here.
As for the picture itself, I think it shows the trope conceptually, as Rosalie is touching Oscar's hand affectionately, and tears are filling her eyes. But what I think shows it best is that Rosalie is detailed in the picture, while Oscar is drawn just with white and lines.
