So, keep it real, are we currently in the pre-Macintosh(1984) era on 3D printing? Where once it takes off there will be a renaissance decade (ala the 90s Dot Com Era for computers)

Is said coin still legal tender? I'm guessing not so probably not. That being said be very careful what you do with it after because unless you're very clear that it's a reproduction (touched up or not) there is the potential of running afoul of Fraud laws
It's for a project on optimising reverse engineering methods for SLM - I have no idea yet about what's going to happen to the replica afterwards, but I can't imagine anyone mistaking it for a genuine antique, since we printed it out of aluminium. Thanks for the answer!
