You might wanna do your own research on the myths.
Read my stories!Seriously?
If you're gonna write a story that involves interactions with Asgard...yes.
Read my stories! As I said, it is a throwaway exchange and Asgardians do not figure in the rest of it. My initial thought was that such a culture that placed a high value on glorious combat wouldn't approve of warriors being treated instead of going out in glory, and wondered if I might had been wrong.
Sorry I asked.

The warrior might compare the medic to a disgraced enemy warrior (see Wikipedia) who was forced to do menial tasks, which might include hauling casualties back to the feasting hall.
You might find some dark humor in the warrior's attitude about wounds and death in battle and contrast that with the medic's job of treating them. The warrior might even accuse the medic of cheating people out of their well-earned trip to Valhalla.
Please don't take everyone seriously on this forum. That said, you can get better help if you ask more-specific questions. That means doing a little research and showing us that you've done it.
Under World. It rocks! The Norseman might, at first, think about medics as a kind of Valkyrjar - you know, those Hot Amazons whose job it was to pick the best among the fallen warriors and carry them to Valhalla. You could then have your medic have a hard time explaining that his duty is to carry off those who are not dead yet and patch them up.
Mache dich, mein Herze, rein...Rambler's idea sounds the most comedic. I would go with that.
Theres sex and death and human grime in monochrome for one thin dime and at least the trains all run on time but they dont go anywhere.
So in my story a combat medic has a conversation with an inhabitant of Asgard and has to describe what combat medic means.
What would the warrior's reaction? Would there be a similar function in Norse myths?
Its a brief exchange and done for laughs hopefully, so don't scrutinize yourself and just throw me anything you can think of.
