That's pretty crazy.
So all this time Ky's been the stronger of the two, and Sol's fully aware of it.
Didn't expect that one.
One Strip! One Strip! He's stronger than Sol's base power at least; Dragon Install is kind of uncalled for.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. Not to mention Sol hasn't even fully unleashed the power OF Dragon Install.
I kind of hate all this BUT I'M HOLDING BACK! THIS ISN'T EVEN MY FINAL FORM BLARGH business that pervades arc games. Not only does it make power levels kind of meaningless but it kind of kills the notion of characters actually getting stronger, since it turns out they were just holding back the entire time. It's getting a bit ridiculous now.
I'm not sure if I like the idea of Ky canonically being stronger.

It's more or less Dragon Install > Ky > regular Sol
I'm probably biased as a Ky fanboy, but then again, Ky was always mentioned to be some crazy genius in regards to controlling his magic and being able to use Thunderseal while he was a teenager.
And now, he's a Gear himself.
We can only imagine how a full battle between them will go now.
One Strip! One Strip!I'm still waiting on a explicit acknowledgement of it.
The secret should have been out when Ky busted out that Gear strength to pull one of kaiju Justices chains
It's literally stated in Rev 2's after story, where do you think I got the information from.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I'm behind the loop
Time to check it
I went 'fuck it' and got myself Rev 2 today (judging from history, I'd probably have to wait a month before the Rev 2 upgrade shows up on HK PSN).
I'm looking to train with Answer, and am predicting many losses in the future. Wish me luck.
"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiPlease forgive the doublepost.
After two brief nights playing Answer, he's definitely not easy, but I have confidence that I'll figure him out.
What I'm more baffled by are his business card followups (the shoryuken and the teleport). They don't seem useful at all. One is a highly situational zoning tool, the other is too slow to be of any practical use.
Still, once I figure out his scroll set ups, mixing people up with them is gonna be a blast.
For anyone the else looking to play Answer, I recommend looking up videos of Kazunoko's Answer gameplay.

"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiAnswer seems interesting. Will try him out soon.
Been trying to re-learn Baiken after having not used her for so long, myself.
I am pleased to report that Answer is indeed a ton of fun. And I find it easier to play him on a controller rather than a stick, since he requires a lot of precise directional inputs. When I play Answer and set up his scrolls, the potential mix ups just sort of... pop into my head as I play. Whether I manage to execute it is a different story, but man, Answer is bananas.
Also, his f.S > 5HS > 46P seems like stupid good pressure, and pretty safe on block too. Very few people I fought managed to break out of it.
I also take back what I said about the teleport. It's a good escape tool when you're on the defensive.
I fought a Baiken earlier and managed to punish their Azami attempt with the izuna drop command grab, and it finished the match too. Felt too good.
Online is great so far too. All the matches I played were either no delay or very little delay.

"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiI can't stop listening to N.S.F.W. and Break a Spell. I guess I really should catch up on the series.
"Strategy? Spacing? I just keep punching until I hit something." - Sol BadguyWhere was it mentioned that Sol saved a six-year-old Kliff?
Kliff is still relevant? I'm surprised if he or Testament are even mentioned.
I'm still upset we never got closure on the Outrages. Always seemed like a cool concept that instead got dumped for the backyard nonsense.
Huh? The Outrages are still playing a part in the story, and Ky even got Thunderseal back.
Kliff was briefly mentioned in After Story A.
What are the Outrages?
One Strip! One Strip! The Eight Sacred Treasures, i.e. Sol's and Ky's swords, and Anji's fans.
They were split off from the original weapon, called the Outrage.
"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiSlayer also has one of the parts, a blade that can cut anything.
Actually wait, Sol has a second one. His Junkyard Dog, the sword he uses in Xrd onward, is a combination of the Fireseal and another one he snagged off the Conclave in Vastedge.
By the way, I'm not sure if this was ever clarified, but I'm pretty certain Ky's whole 'I was stronger than Sol this whole time' was because of his pragmatism.
In terms of power levels he's still certainly on a lower tier, but he'd been fighting extremely powerful Gears in the crusades all his life. In all his previous fights with Sol, he'd been treating them as honourable duels rather than fights to the death.
So to sum up, the fact that Ky could beat Sol in the After Story was not due to some arbitrary power level increase, but because he started fighting dirty. I'm paraphrasing Ky's words here, but he says 'on the battlefield, deceit and unfairness is key'.
"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiSo basically, he never went all out in their previous fights, and despite Sol's power, Ky always had the ability to beat him, but never had a reason to fight him the way he would an enemy before.
And Sol suspected all along as well.
One Strip! One Strip!Basically. In their first fight, Sol said he was prepared to fight to the death, but was disappointed with what he got.
"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiThunderseal, ,fireseal Tessen, Slayer's knife
what were the others? Are they still utilized in the current story? Junkyard dog is confirmed to be a fusion of two outrages then?
I remember a theory being that I-no's guitar was one. I always liked that theory.
