Codex Alera does not count - there's only four nonhuman races, plus references to one or two others that were driven to extinction long ago.

The Legend Of Zelda definitely counts. Across the entire series there have been Hylians/Humans, Fairies, Dragons, Goblins ^note, Zoras, Gorons, Deku Scrubs, Sheikah, Gerudo, Kokiri, Skull Kids, Picori, Twili, Ooccas, Kikwis, Mogmas, and many more.

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."

I can also confirm that Orion's Arm counts - there's at least 17 extant xenosophont species and many, many more Terragen (Earth-derived) species. Given its nature as a world-building project, none can be really said to fall under Informed Attribute.

Thanks guys, this is helping.

Aaannnd it's launched/transplanted. I added a Motion to Discard tag, since I don't know if I'm supposed to just hit Discard.

I'll go through wicks and then I think this thread can be closed. All the "unsure" examples are preserved on the discussion page, and I'll preserve "unsure" wicks the same way.

OK! The wicks are all dealt with. I think this is done now.

Should I Discard the YKTTW myself, or just leave it with a Motion to Discard tag?

Crown Description:

The games-only subtrope Massive Race Selection now has a minimum number: 6 playable races.

Loads And Loads Of Races is the non-gaming supertrope (non-playable races in fiction). Shall this supertrope have a minimum number of races in its definition? What should that number be?

Note that the examples and wicks are all over the place. If any number is chosen, cleanup will be necessary.

Also, should the description allow the trope to be an Informed Attribute, or should a "race" need at least a little description or screentime?

Pro: Even discounting games, what can be called "loads and loads" still varies too much by medium to set a generic minimum.
Con: A few of the examples even on the page itself have very low numbers like 4 or 5. That's not "loads and loads" in any medium. This wants clearer definition.

Up: Yes, this trope can be an Informed Attribute. A work that says "representatives of over fifty races met at the Galactic Council to discuss the matter" uses this trope.

Down: No, this trope cannot be an Informed Attribute. To use this trope a work needs "loads and loads" of races with at least some description/details or screentime/artwork.
