Thibs also ran his players into the ground.

I wish him luck, but I saw this change coming. Here's hoping it works out well for everyone.

With Kyrie Irving out with a fractured left kneecap, all the Cavs have left are an aging LeBron being locked down by Iguodala, the artist formerly known as J.R Smith and Matthew Dellavedova.

It's not over until the fat lady sings, but she must be humming a few notes.

So the Cavs are now up 2-1. If they somehow pulls this off, Lebron Haters really won't have a leg to stand on anymore.

As a Lebron hater, I've been saying since game 2 exactly that (specifically, as regards the comparison to Jordan). It rustles my jimmies to see him doing well. I'm so... nettled. Hopefully the Warriors will win, Kerr will get his 6th championship and first as a coach, and the debate will continue.

[up][up] I absolutely abhor Lebron as well. I think every Chicago fan has at least some form of beef with the guy. That said, series even at 2-2. I'm sticking with my Warriors in 6 prediction.

The Cavs looked absolutely gassed starting from the 2nd quarter, LeBron included.

Maybe the 2 day rest might help but I too, also see this ending in 6 games.

More or less what I had thought from before, the Cavaliers are going to have to play great as a combined effort rather than rely on LeBron to carry them. As great as he's been playing, he's 32 years old. He can't do it by himself anymore.

And speaking of performances, even though they have nobody else to start in his place if I'm David Blatt I would highly consider severly limiting if not outright benching JR Smith like how Steve Kerr benched Bogut. 3-pointers aside, he has been terrible these 3 games.

[up] I'm pretty sure Lebron just turned 30. That aside, I agree. Though, I can see that happening if Kyrie figures out how to play D.

My mistake, not sure why I thought he was 32.

The Golden State Warriors are your 2014-2015 NBA champions, and Andre Igoudala is you Finals MVP!

On one hand, I'm surprised that they'd name Iggy MVP after all the talk commentators did about Curry's performances in the 4th quarter in these Finals.

On the other hand, I'm a huge fan of Iggy. I always thought that he had never fully lived up to his potential during his time in the league and his Finals performance showed that he's still capable of quality play so I'm happy for him.

Hasn't been a good day for the Knicks. Monroe signed a max deal with the Bucks and now Aldridge cancelled his meeting with them for a 2nd meeting with the Lakers

Oh wow, that's one big fuck you on the side of Aldridge to the Knicks.

I heard about Monroe to the Bucks. I'm a bit disappointed he didn't go to a team I care for, but considering it's the Bucks, and Central division bigs tend to stay in the Central, I'm not too surprised. The Central division's going to be the best by far in the East, once again, next year.

It was amusing to see people on Twitter get salty and say things like "Why Milwaukee over the Knicks/Lakers?" and I'm just thinking to myself "I dunno maybe because out of the 3 teams the Bucks actually made the playoffs?"

it'll be interesting to see the Bucks next season, since they now have Alphabet, Middleton, Parker and Monroe (and MCW I guess)

In other news Wade County stays in Miami for 1 more year at the max.

So De'Andre Jordan is having buyers remorse and thinking of resigning with the Clippers. I have to say, if Jordan goes through with screwing the Mavs over, I think the Clippers may become the defacto Big Bad of next season.

edit

Yeah, I don't think I can cheer the Clippers next season. Normally I'm pro-player when it comes to Free Agency and their decisions to leave teams. As crappy as media circus known as "The Decision" was, I don't fault Lebron for leaving Cleveland and it's shitty Front-Office at the time.

But this with De Andre Jordan? No, you don't lead a team on and screw them over.

I agree. I'm also normally pro-player when it comes to free agency (especially with the NBA) but DeAndre should honestly plan on being a Clipper for life because no owner/gm is going to want to mess with his bullshit in the future. His future negotiation leverage has been fucked.

(Edit: Yeah, I know, good big men are hard to come by and I'm fully aware that I can be proven wrong)

And the Clippers are legitimate contenders again leaving Mavs in a rough patch. Funny how one player changes things.

I'm still laughing at Pierce's attempt to join in the emoji war. Either that was on purpose, or Paul Pierce is just an old man.

Chicago had a fairly boring week. Resign Jimmy B, try to keep Dunleavy, backup PG. They accomplished that much.

Butler was signed, Brooks was signed, Dunleavy had terms back to at least a week ago, if it isn't signed yet. They brought on two assistant coaches. They just need to gel with the team they had, stay healthy, and they should be siting pretty.

I know quite a few Mavs fans. As I once said in another series' thread, "there's so much salt you could base an ancient culture's economy on it." It's actually hilarious.
