Digital Piracy or: if stealing is so easy, why are people still buying?: ![]() Two Bears High Fiving
It's kind of a question that spontaneously formed up while I'm thinking a bit about digital piracy and I happened to randomly flipped the perspective and, well...especially after I start reading about various studies that piracy actually helps with increasing purchasing and artist revenue (in case of music), or the Swiss report that said they're not dropping the hammer on piracy issue because their own research suggest that piracy is not necessarily a bad thing...but why?
So...can anyone answer the Title question:if stealing is so easy, why are people still buying? Or, why researchs are saying they're buying more?

![]() With Mod Hat On While I appreciate your desire to hold an honest conversation about the topic, onyhow, our experience has found that discussions of piracy never turn into anything but namecalling, and are in general just a bad idea. Better to leave it alone.
The system doesn't know you right now, so no post button for you.
You need to Get Known to get one of those.
