-Robotnik briefly gets a surprised, almost nervous look on his face before snatching the handheld receiver from the console-

"This is Robotnik. Report...ah, Metal. Mission success?"

Liman sits on where she is, on the chair as she listens in to Robotnik with her head hung slightly low.

She listens, waiting as she twiddles her thumbs and idly shifts in her seat.

"Good, that makes two...return to base, and await further orders. And do not let Sonic or his friends find you. Do you understand? ...Good. Don't worry about my whereabouts - I'm on a mission of my own."

-The good doctor promptly hangs up-

"...W-Was that...another—fri—subordinate of yours, Doktor?"

"Hm? Ah, yes! Why yes it was. Far more competent than most of the ones I'm forced to make do with here - present company excluded, of course."

She nods her head, bowing it slightly as she looks back at him with a slight smile on her face. "...I'm flattered, Doktor. Though...he sounded—quite like he had something in his....its not just-a voice modulator, if I may presume?"

"A voice modulator? Of course not. He's a robot."

"...And...he's sentient?"

"Why, of course! Metal Sonic is my finest creation, programmed with state-of-the-art artificial intelligence!"

Liman's eyes widened, gulping visibly as she raised a hand as if wanting to ask something—before pulling it back down.

"T-That's...actually very, very p-phenomenal, Doktor. Impressive, even."

"Why, thank you."

-He does a rather grandstanding bow-

"Now...did you have a question? Don't think I didn't see that hand go up."

"...He-isn't...homicidal right?"

"...Well, time's a-wasting! We should hurry on to that morgue before it closes! ...Do morgues have their hours posted online, or would that be bizarre?"

"That doesn't answer my question."

"Well...he's only dangerous to my enemies. Let's put it that way."

"...."

For the briefest of moment, Dr. Ivo can feel— a piercing glare from her normally soft and skittish gaze, her bright red eyes staring at him as she squints. There's a slight- menace for a fraction of a second before it is gone, her nodding and shrinking back a little. "U-Understood, Doktor—I...will keep that in mind. H-He must be pretty powerful, t-then...!"

"The strongest, and fastest, naturally. Metal Sonic can move at speeds exceeding the speed of sound! On an off day!"

Liman's face brightened, and she gives an enthusiastic clap with a wide smile and a mesmerized look.

"Oooh....!"

"...He went through a phase. A traitorous one."

"...Oh. Is that...where he went...homicidal?"

"...Right. Anyhow—m-morgue, right? W-We...were supposed to check it out?"
