You would like that, wouldn't you?

But no. It's just the general behavioral modification thing is similar to something I'd write.

There's a bit of a difference between A Clockwork Orange and "Asuka Gets Mind-Raped: The Quintessential Evangelion Mind-Control Rape Fap Fic". One is done to get a message across, to explore if it is right to modify the bahaviour of crims and the need for evil in human nature, and the other is schlocky porn designed to titillate and shock anime fans. You are copying the what, without realising that it is the why that is important.

And?

You're looking at art, but you miss all the points. A Clockwork Orange is worthless unless you bother to look at the meaning, same with most books. Instead of reading A Clockwork Orange, you'd enjoy Harlequin Romance just as much and there is none of that pesky meaning underlying it to make you look shallow when discussing it.

So it's impossible to enjoy both meaningful fiction and brainless schlock for their separate reasons?

Something isn't worth being consumed if it isn't constantly artsy and doesn't have some deeply rooted sociological message?

Is that what you're trying to say?

Eh, all I am saying is that your emulation of the mind-control/changing elements of A Clockwork Orange lacks the depth of the original and makes it seem like you only like the work because of the fact it has mind-control elements and not because of the ideas it explores. Of course you can enjoy both schlocky crap and proper work, but when you understand the actual art through the same lens as you view Revenge of the Fallen, then you are not really understanding the work in question.

Something isn't worth being consumed if it isn't constantly artsy and doesn't have some deeply rooted sociological message?

Rather something that does have a message should not be consumed in the same "surface level only" way of understanding and interpreting the work. I like Knowing but I know that that is just a shitty Nic Cage movie that holds no meaning, but I don't watch it in the same way I'd watch Hitchcock or Kubrick because they are worthy of deeper understanding.

So basically it's "How DARE you rip off an idea from another work without also ripping off everything else about that work."

ok.

I am saying that you should at least have respect enough to use his ideas as a jumping off point for greater analysis and exploration of themes. If I were a writer, I'd rather the reader took away the message I am trying to impart, rather than "Oh man, that man having his mind edited is so fuckin' hot. I am going to add that element to my uterus stealing rapefic."

I was more of a way of showing how ridiculous your stance towards literature is. It does not matter if yours is about vagina milking or uterus stealing, the sentiment is the same. The sentiment of using something with a deep message solely for surface level features. (Which you then use to fap/schlick to when writing bizarre rape fic)

Edit: I had considered just saying: "My words in your mouth mumbled all about" but I felt that that might be too derivative and flippant.

It's part of a fap-fic. Unless the person is supposed to be getting off on it, I can only see that plot thread being a bit of a boner killer.

I'm not really seeing the fap ficiness of it.

And I've written a lot of fap fics.

You said:

Well, yeah, it kind of has to happen for that particular shipping to work.

I don't know why you would include shipping in a fic without it being a fap fic. Especially when you are throwing forced vaginal milking into the equation.

[up][up] It's an alternate take on what happens in the canon story.

You could be a tabloid journalist with the way you twist what people say. All I am saying is that if you are writing a story and you include any form of extreme sexual violation towards a main character, you can't exactly pass that off as a minor point. Either it is going to be a major thing, or it should not be there at all. Now, if you are writing just to get off, then it is fine to put a kink in there without it being the focal point of a character's arc.

[up][up] Everything is exactly the same as I set it up in the fanfic. The only differences are Gladys has a different personality and Yuuhi doesn't turn around. Chidori bleeds to death from the gunshot wound.

You could be a tabloid journalist with the way you twist what people say.
Stop that, you.

I asked what makes you think it's a fap fic.

You responded with a quote of me saying it's a shipping fic.

The obvious implication you were trying to make is all shipping fics are meant to be spank material.

I don't see how you can have shipping in the aftermath of what is supposed to be a traumatizing event for the character. It seems out of character unless you portray it as her rushing into a relationship in order to feel safe. Which, while perfectly valid and doable as just romance, is more likely going to result in a rape fap fic. It seems like you are not really trying to understand character motivations when you're writing.
