Starting when my oldest niece was about six, my extended family has had a tradition that the youngest member of the family takes the presents from under the tree and distributes them, then each family member from youngest to oldest opens one present in rotation. This eventually backfired on oldest niece (who suggested the idea in the first place) when she suddenly had two younger cousins.

The youngest niece is far too business-like about this, organizing all the presents under the tree by recepient as much as four hours before the ceremony.

I personally have the tradition of participating in internet gift exchanges, with my usual offering being a themed mix CD.

The nicknames tradition in #5 is awesome.

And the pet-gifting for Christmas in #22 is adorable.

My family has Christmas tradition since we moved to New Zealand. Nothing special though. Since we're immigrants, we have no family here, so on Christmas day we invite all our family friends (who tend to also be immigrants, because if you do have family around, we think you should be spending time with them over Christmas) around for dinner via massive barbecue and cookup.

An ex-girlfriend's family had cool Christmas traditions too, mostly to do with the family getting together for board games and things on Christmas day (her parents live in a different country for most of the year).
