Or at least for those who have already watched their fair share of Pinoy soaps.
OK, so i have been thinking, maybe it's a good idea to set up a page dealing with the common tropes found in filipino dramas (hey, the Koreans and the Japanese have it, so why can't we? ;) ). i think that teleserye would indeed be a good term for this one, since it has been already used extensively in the mainstream.
anyways, here are some of the tropes (and their tentative names) that i would probably initially include in the page.
The Diary Tells It All-the ever suffering bida (lead character) finds a diary that reveals that she is adopted and is in fact born to rich parents.
It All Ends In The Warehouse-the tendency of local soaps to have the lead character get kidnapped and the final confrontation between him/her and the villain occurs in an abandoned building.
The one where the police arrives only after all the action in final confrontation has settled down (don;t know a good name for it)
anything more you guys can add will be most helpful.
