Fresh Pretty Cure used "Pretty Cure". It was on the title.

There is never a need to 'repair'. Precure has always been the short form for Pretty Cure, and whenever we index an installment, the full form is the appropriate one.

That's pretty catchy. Anyways the first episode aired but I JUST missed it.

And everyone is now in a diabetic coma.◊ The mascots get cuter every series...

My thoughts so far :

Ok, Miyuki's not the type to be antisocial. But she's just very nervous on her very first day's very first try?? o.O Akane! Woot! Thank you thank you.... might be her best line yet. Twas such a proper NON Engrish thank you ever spoken, and it fits like a glove on her personality~

Miyuki, ya ain't supposed to shout the mascot out so hard, or at anything else for that matter. It gets glares.... And talking about picture books, that means fairy tales. Ok, so there's Miyuki being a Cinderella in the OP, .... and suddenly, .... BIG BAD WOLF?! Oh the symbolism! And he literally painted grim dark on a storybook! Whoa, this is a fresh approach!

Hey.... are you supposed to put on Blush Sticker on yourself? And you're being very Tsubomi right there. And it's to the point that you embarass yourself to yourself and the enemies. Well, at least the Survival Mantra (kiai kiai kiai!) works. .... Holy crap! Even highly rendered dance sequence. This is a very inviting first episode if I do say so myself

This is the first Pretty Cure I'm going to watch all the way through.

Meh, I just research the other series and I am basically a Spoiler Hound.

This, I'm going in fresh while the series is still airing.

This is my first Precure series as well, though I've decided to archive binge my way through Suite as I adore the character designs for that series. As far as Smile, I love the OP and ED, though the OP more so than the ED. Still need to see more to get a handle of the characters, but so far Candy's kind of annoying but the rest are alright. The humor seems a small bit out of place but it was funny so I can forgive it that. Can't wait for March's introduction in a few weeks though.

I wonder if this series ever decided to give a Reconstructive answer to Madoka Magica's Deconstruction?

I have to say. the buildup to the first use of precure magic alone made this show worthwhile. Seeing that huge plume of magic flare up like something outta DBZ after multiple minutes of Miyuki flailing around hilariously with her superstrength.

Miyuki strikes me as Goku the magical girl. IN A GOOD WAY.

Yeah. Demongodwhatever, please at least binge on Heartcatch. Unlike all other Pretty Cure installments, it deals with people turned into evil manifestations instead of objects. It may interest you

I binged some of it, at least to the part where the Infinity Silhouette appears.

Wow subbing groups are picking this up for once... all the other series just had 1 group at a time on it now we got 3... nice!

I do like the Fairy Tale Motifs in this one.

Anyways Episode 5 Preview
Miyuki wants rich student council vice president Reika Aoki to be a Pretty Cure, but she declines, saying she has something she needs to do

So I watched the episode and I have to say I'm impressed. The animation is nice and I like how the characters were introduced. It's nice to see how someone whose at least a bit surprised by the new powers. Also this game reminds of FF 9 with all its references to the past series.

Oh come on why go the 5th precure refuses to join route? That was already done in Yes Pretty Cure 5... probably should use spoiler tags for these.

Then again pretty much everything here was already done in Yes.

Anyways episode finished airing. I liked it but I'm pretty easy to please. There were great reaction faces though. Next episode; Cure Peace
