9. Greatest recap of all time. Girl of the day is nuts. Entertaining, and sometimes correct, but nuts. Hana is useless. Cross her off the good babysitters list. At least we got more Kotori. Almost want her to join the team. And kappa. More kappa. More of a funny episode than anything else, but it was still entertaining.

Indeed, the greatest Recap ever.

Hugtan is best baby character in the franchise too. she's actually adorable unlike the previous ones.

Nah. Haa-chan/Cure Felice is still the best baby because she actually grew up.

Haa-chan is cheating. Aside from her, well Hugtan is cuter than Chiffon and Ai. Aside from that all 3 are about the same.

It just occurred to me. Every Episode title has a catchphrase from a previous Precure series.

This episode used Lets La from Ala Mode, and the next one uses Arienai (Unbelieveable) from Futari Wa.

That's not even the end of it. Episode eleven's title references Smile, twelve's references Dokidoki, and thirteen's references Fresh.

10. I see this is bully Hana day. Even the Mirai Pad is getting in on it. What's wrong with working on the takoyaki stand? Despite some issues earlier, overall Saaya and Homare have their acts together. Cure Google has found her calling, and Miss Sakter is just stylish. Meanwhile here's a bunch of Hana angst. I kind of feel bad about her thinking she's only good at making faces, because that's definitely one of her highlights. She's good at cheerleading, but she might be able to put her skills to work at marketing. Too bad some old guy isn't helping matters. Harry is right that it's fine to be unsure of your talents since she's just a teenager, but teens are teens. I've been seeing Hana as a more mundane Haruka, and this continues that trend, with her unable to transform moment coming from a bad day instead of a big dramatic moment. But this early on surely this will be solved by the end of the episode right? Or Hana can still be powerless while Hugtan is also down for the count. Well this is getting darker faster than I expected.

God this episode was intense on the feels. I teared up. Poor Hana. Also, this is the shortest we had to wait for a wham episode since Heartcatch.

11. What a dense episode. While I do think it's a bit fast for Hana to be going through this spunk, they did still build it up well. But she's got good people all around her, so of course she manages. Mysterious guy continues to feel out of place in this series. No mercy for the failed minions I see. One of the more legit last stands for a minor villain. You could actually tell how Charaleet was so much more dangerous compared to regular monsters. And civilians actually shown to be in mortal danger this time. Happens less often than you'd think, especially from something more mundane like a falling building. Nice to see some continuation on Henri and Emiru instead of just being cute cameos. Damn, Yell got an actual legit sword. And was totally about to just cut that dude up. So instead of mercilessly killing her enemies, she wants to peacefully end their lives. But it was directed well, so I'll let that slide. Bummer that an awesome sword got turned into cutesy toys, but it's inevitable. And maybe she can get it back if need be. Show continues to impress with no signs of letting up.

I don't think since Tsubomi has the main pink girl suffered this much.

And with Author guy still around, It seems possible that There's more for her in the future.

12. Even a lighter episode like this is so good. Lots of little character moments with Hana's continuing obsession with acting like an adult, Saaya geeking out over whatever she feels like, and Homare's serious facade breaking again and again. Even the Hugtan stuff was cute this time. And Charaleet is alive I guess? Nice callback to the takoyaki guy. They even makes toys for popcorn now I guess. But the big whammy is of course the reveal of Harry and Hugtan coming from the future. I saw it coming, but still. I loved Hana and Saaya wondering if humans evolved or regressed into hamsters. Homare seems to be the only one thinking about the implications. 3 new attacks in one go. Neat. Not done with the whams though, for Lulu finally makes her move. Brainwashing Hana's mom is certainly presented darker than other magical parent brainwashings. This show won't let the momentum stop.

Anyone watching the live action spinoff featuring Cure Custard's voice actress? Only the first episode has subs but I enjoyed it. First episode was basically a love letter to Happinesscharge and given that it is a spinoff I expect we'll see more references to the franchise in later episodes.

I watched the episode, but I don't really have an opinion yet. I guess I'm kinda disillusioned by other voice actor anime shows.

13. In which Lulu attempts to act like the human. Or maybe attempts is the wrong word, seeing how she's doing the bare minimum to integrate into society. She's much more like the Kiryuu sisters than Setsuna or Julio thus far. Once a robot always a robot I guess. Perhaps quite literally. She's super tall. So much so that I almost don't buy that she's supposed to be their age. And did she manage to stop time to talk to Hana there? Kind of want an explanation of what actually went on there. Nice that they managed to develop Lulu and get Hana to learn an aesop in one go at least.

14. In which Saaya tries to shit on Lulu unsuccessfully. Guess she really doesn't want her position as the smart one being upstaged. Fun to see that side of her. Lulu meanwhile does a better job of acting the human. Guess she's good with babies. And a great tosser with Harry. The show has been pretty good at developing multiple characters at once, and that streak continues here. Too bad no one will get suspicious of the monster following Lulu's orders. Next week, Lulu and Emiru. Subtle.

I mean they have to do some foreshadowing so as not to make things an asspull.

15. I was iffy on her at first, but damn I'm sold on Emiru now. In fact, dump the other three and make this a Lulu/Emiru buddy comedy. They have shockingly good chemistry together. So Emiru is the ojou for this season. And her parents come from Suite. Huh. Too bad she has to deal with Elder Brother the Douche. Won't be sad when Lulu monsterizes him. Can't wait to see more of these two.

The raws for the next ep are out. Its, well, pretty dark. Like, potentially darker then Heartcatch or Go Princess levels of dark, but in a good way.

16. I think Homare bribed the writers, because she's getting most of the best episodes. The animation in particular was really on point, framing both her and Lulu constantly in contrast. And of course that ending. Lulu's development has been really brisk, but still enjoyable. Next episode looks to be nuts in a good way.

17. Criasu has a whole bunch of robots in the future? Wonder if that will come into play. Precure got good reasons to trust Lulu at least. And Harry seems to have yet more secrets huh. Meanwhile Criasu sucks at actually reprogramming their property. Bad robot running off before it's complete. Or good robot in this case. Another great fight scene with the obligatory emotional redemption. Hopefully Lulu gets to keep her weapons. Cure Emiru is on the case. Still got a ways to go till the mid-season and the obvious happening, so I'm curious as to how they'll fill up the time.

The end card is very cute.

This season might be the best when it comes visual aesthetic and storyboarding, especially when the writer and the animators are actually in sync. But because of that very strict structure, the chance of the season turning shit is pretty high. For example, the 'Hugtan goes into a coma' is pretty all over the place because it has too many plot threads going on. If so, then we might face the same problem with Doki, but at the opposite spectrum of the pacing.
