Sometimes, it never heals. See: Jim Henson's death.

@ Rich: It's been around for a while, longer than many other video game publications. I'd like to believe that GamePro has garnered at least some degree of importance and respect.

[up] Ok, that's uncalled for. No need for insults here.

I'll miss ya, GP. No matter what you were in recent years, as a kid, you were important to me. I would always beg my parents to take me on shopping trips to grocery stores and the like, and then, instead of actually going shopping, I'd go to the magazine rack and then read Game Pro and Nintendo Power. Good memories, man. Good memories.

Remember the one where they interviewed The Protomen?

The Protomen enhanced my life.

I do recall a little of when Gamepro was cool. Unfortunately, the most recent issues that I've seen have been kinda crappy. I recall pages and pages of screenshots the last time I opened it up. I know they're trying to compete with online media, but that's even easier to replicate by going online than articles are.

Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft instead

Thumped: for taking troll bait. Feeding a troll. Bad idea. Don't try to fix a troll, just use the holler button. Moderators have remedies.

Gamepro was always awesome. I remember reading about the Atari Jaguar and wondering what I was missing when I was still plugging along on my SNES.

Anyway, I haven't read it in 10 years. Moving on.

Yeah. Pretty much.

It's hard to be a print magazine in this day and age. Them going quarterly should've said that. But when you're trying to maintain a magazine as well as a sub-par website, it's obvious what the outcome is.

Pretty much the only magazine that can stay afloat is Game Informer, and that's only because you're forced into a subscription if you go for Gamestop's platinum membership or whatever they call it.

Fifteen dollars for a year's supply of kindling isn't too bad, though.

Damn, they were pretty good.

Seeing all these piss ant tropers trying to talk tough makes me laugh. If Matrix were here, he'd laugh too.
