After many years of running a semi-well-known website full of my writing and drawings, I decided it was high time I get into the video scene. This is probably a terrible idea - the very sound of my voice begs to be trolled - and my camerawork is pretty poor, to boot. Here goes nothing, though!
First, here's my embarrassing, unscripted "practice" video.
I decided then to practice doing "review" videos with some Real Ghostbusters toys out of my collection; Gooper Ghosts and the H2 Ghost.
Finally, I made one I'm almost unashamed to show people, a more scientific video regarding my pet cockroaches and why cockroaches aren't that bad.
I could use some advice on editing .movs and MP 4's in windows (all I have is the bare-bones Quicktime Pro) and other things I could fix. I'm a really, really long way from the quality of other video reviewers, but my site is popular enough that I want to take this semi-seriously and be making some decent ones by next year.
There are obviously thousands of people doing video blogs these days, but I'm hoping I can find a unique niche. I don't think a lot of people do humorous reviews of insects, but surprisingly enough I don't have access to that many I could say much about.
