ITT: We Are All Digimon Tamers

This is essentially a spinoff of gamerex27's PBP game We Are All Pokemon Trainers (I'm making this with his permission.) Now before we get started, I'd just like one or two volunteers to help me co-run this game. If you are interested in helping out in that regard, send me a PM, we can discuss future plot threads and general rules to go about this. Once that is in order, I will edit into this first post how the story will be starting off.

In the meanwhile, how about everyone introducing their character and picking out a (Rookie Level) digimon that they would like to start off with. The Digital Monsters Almanac, the Digimon Wiki and the other Digimon Wiki will probably be useful here.

Hey there everyone! You can call me Tetra. That's an alias, as you might have guessed, but with all that's about to go on, you can understand if I'm a little hesitant to use my real name. I'm male, about average height, short cropped dark brown hair, in my late teens. As of late, I've been studying biomechanics at a pretty decent sized university; learning the shape feathers need to be able to fly, how eyes focus light, how a cat can balance on its heels. That sort of stuff. I guess you could say its my method of finding out just how the world is put together and functions, I guess.

Also, I'm taking FanBeemon as my starter.

Ah, just one further point of clarification. Despite the title, I'm including aspects from all the digimon series, as can everyone participating, and this game is going to take place in its own AU setting, independent from the anime/games/comics/etc.

I'm in. I will not be using my actual name for this, along with some other changes.

My character goes by Tom. He'll be about average height with short, unkempt sandy brown hair. He recently graduated with a degree in geology and prefers to handle things in a methodical and reasoned way. Another interest of his is hiking.

I think I'll go with Flamemon as my starter since its primary evolution line is one of my favorites design-wise.

If we're not supposed to be introducing our characters yet, I'll remove the character description and come back after I've done a little more work.

A few questions for clarification before this gets started.

• Are we using the English or Japanese names for the 'mons?
• Some Digimon have abilities that never appeared in the shows or virtual pets, only being introduces later in various games and other materials. Are there any rules regarding those abilities?
