So who is this guy? Swore for a moment I thought it was a younger David Suzuki

It's Hideaki Anno. That said, the caption's a nice and succinct illustration of the trope.

Eh, I think this is one instance where JAFAAC actually works.

I tend to agree - I've got no idea who he is, but the text certainly displays the trope.

Although it looks a lot like a demotivator, and I'm not sure if those are allowed?

It's not technically a demotivator. I like it.

I don't know, this might fall under "Works equally well as a quote" territory. I mean yeah the quote displays the trope, but that's all the picture does. The guy's face in the middle doesn't really add much of anything unless you know who he is.

Yeah in this case, do we even need a picture? The quote illustrates it fine on its own.

It's not actually a quote from him though.

Personally, I think it's slightly funnier with the expression on his face then it would be as text alone.

Eh, it's not like the image is hurting the page in any way, and it would be tricky to have it as a page quote (since I doubt Hanno said those exact words himself), so... I say keep it.

Eh, I'm still having trouble as seeing this as anything other than JAFAAC; it's just a picture of a guy's head. It might not be hurting anything, per se, but that's true of a lot of JAFAAC images, and we don't give them free passes.

[up]That's because generally Faces don't add anything to a trope, yet this one strangely does -admittedly, the caption does most of the work, but as someone pointed out the expression of his face doesn't hurt, and I found the quote itself to be too juicy to just pass up. tongue

Or we can add some common questions about his works on top of the current image.

The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.
