I don't think I can disagree with this. I don't see how it's possible.

Oops, I made my topic title backwards.
I like that picture. It actually shows that the situation requires him to punch her (see the nunchucks?). That, and it's so over the top it's bloody hilarious.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I've corrected the article tag and, since there was no motion to pull, restored the image for now. Liking the suggestion, though.
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanI honestly don't see what Superman's sexism or lack thereof has to do with anything. The question is, is the fact that the OP's suggestion is bleeping hilarious reason enough to have it replace the current, entirely correct picture?
My point is Superman HAS hit girls. The OP was saying that Superman was brainwashed...honestly I wouldn't of known that from the picture, considering Superman has been known to hit any strong superpowered being...man or woman, they're all fair game...my point was the Brainwashing in the original image kind of means nothing because I never would of known unless someone told me.
Because, while a boy scout in comparison to Batman, Superman isn't afraid to hit a woman, so I don't see the issue to change the image because of what is actually happening in context that tropers wouldn't know unless they are familiar with that specific comic.

This is Mimi-don't let her cuteness fool you-she's got spunk. If it's not an example in context, it's Not An Example and that's a reason to pull, even if it illustrates it perfectly. And yes.

Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanI thought that pictures that seemed to show a trope were acceptable even if the example wasn't actually one in context?
Either way, the Batman one is funnier, so I'd support making it the new image.
^^^ Not true. It seems to me that our aim, first and foremost, should be to illustrate the article, and I don't believe the original context of the image is relevant.
That said, I do think the Batman image is better, if only for the sheer absurdity.

Welcome To TV Tropes | How To Write An Example | Text-Formatting Rules | List Of Shows That Need Summary | TV Tropes Forum | Know The StaffBoth images work, although I kinda prefer the Superman one. The Batman one has too much stuff going on in the background. The Superman picture is more focused. And I think the "KLUDD" makes it funnier.

Reaction Image RepositoryI'd be fine with switching out for the Batman pic.
I also don't think the original context should matter for a page image. I just mentioned that as a bit of trivia.
Also, I did not mean to pull the Superman image, that was an editing accident. Sorry about that.
Advice, crop the Batman slightly. Chop some of the right off.
Fight smart, not fair.I don't know, the right side gives more context.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Agreed.
Crowner added...if/when anyone finds something else, we can add it.
God-Emperor on the Throne, that's a decisive vote...but I hate to call a crowner after just one day...
But yeah, the poll seems pretty decisive.
"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartRather than "Christ in a sidecar"...gratuitous Warhammer 40K reference. [/dork]
Yeah, this one's more than decisive enough.
EDIT: The pic is up, potholed, and tagged. Caption or no?

Perhaps this will explain. Perhaps not.
I'd say no. Image says it all. He would. He really would.
I think the superman image is funnier. It's simple, but effective, and the line about the forces of justice needing to keep their pimp hand strong is great too.
Crown Description:
Would Hit A Girl
Superman KLUDD-ing Wonder Woman in the back of the head? That's pretty funny (Although I've read that story, and it's actually not an example of the trope, since Superman is being mind-controlled).
But Batman punching out a schoolgirl?
Priceless.
