Huh?: Light Novels

Yes, I know it's the cover from one, but I only know that because I'm familiar with the work. To someone not familiar with it, it's a random anime chick who really shouldn't have been running in the sawmill. If we want an image for this, it should at least be obvious that it's a book.

While I can see your point, I don't have a problem with this. It's a style of book (I probably shouldn't call it a "genre"); the picture is the cover of one of them. Works for me.

Well, it's not like it's an overly complex IP. Basically, all we needed was the same thing, but zoomed out so you could tell it was a book. We've got that. Unless anyone has further suggestions...
